My timeline:
July 25, a week after the reveal, I signed on the Les Stanford's reservation list. At that time, they expected to get 600 cars and I should get my C8 by April. I was #296 on the list. My placement on the list is now at 50. Stanford said its time to finalize you order. I submitted my order on Feb 3; first day of production. I am at Event Code 1100 and waiting for an allocation. I will most likely get the allocation by the end of February. That looks like a late May delivery.

Like many here, I didn't like the wheel choices we have. I'm thinking of doing this on the 5 Spoke Carbon Flash Black Wheels that I ordered. Black Lug Nuts, of course.

I like what you came up with, and I was planning on doing it as well.

Here's a pic of what I did to our '17 GS wheels. For those, I used RimTape, from "Stripe It All". and it worked GREAT. In fact, they used my car in their ad as their poster child !!!!
With the C8 machined wheel face, can't do, so I'll have to paint them with Torch Red paint. Don't have a plan yet.....

Congrats...you seem very excited. I am looking forward to see the C8's out and about this summer.

Nice choice in color and exterior options! Identical to my build in that regard. I really like the black/red contrast with wheels and accents. I wasn’t initially a fan of the machined lip on the rims, but it looked great in person. I still may powder coat to get it all black, but I’m holding off initially.

I also ordered my C8 from Les Stanford. I also ordered my C7 from them, too.

I gave them my deposit March 2, 2017 and was #64 on their list at that time. I was assured that I would move up as a high number of people pull out. And they did.

When it came time to put my order in, I moved up to ~#45 and I got in their 1st allocation. I have TPW of 2/03, VIN# 100140, and as of this morning, my order is 3400-Broadcast. Every morning this week, my salesman emails me the Order Workbench dated that day with the Event Description update. I am predicting it will be 3800 tomorrow.

Other than GM pushing back production for months, I couldn't be more satisfied.

My order is Sebring Orange, Z51, 2LT, MagRide, Front Lift, 2-Tone Natural Interior, and Carbon Fiber accents, and other stuff.

Beautiful C7 GS. White with Two Tone Red interior. Love that. The very first Corvette that I ever saw was a 55 in that color combo. Classic!

Here are a couple of photos of the wheels on my former C7. Getting the stripe on the inside was really tenuous. Note the powder coated rotors. I going to get my C8's rotors done the same. Only cost $35 per rotor here in Shelby Township Michigan.

Coming up on the DOSP #4/6 & they've yet to order 50 cars?
No, 246 people didn't drop out. They've been submitting orders since Sept. I would guess Stanford has submitted over 250 C8 orders by now. Accordingly, at #296, I'm coming up at the end of this month. Their list is now in the 800s. Of course, 300 of those will be 2021s. Out of the 295 in front of me, about 25 are 'Z' models. So I jumped in front of them.

Now that GM has told dealerships their allocations will be reduced, I would think Stanford will sell 450-500 model year 2020s. Nothing sketchy with high volume dealerships, just big numbers.

There are many here that are more informed than I am on the allocation numbers these big dealerships are getting. Perhaps they can chime in.

Interesting story. When did they submit your order?

I wanted to go Sebring Orange, but my wife argued against it. She rarely drove my C7, but she just has to have her opinion. She's a lawyer and I don't argue with a trained debater.

Right now TPW's are through the end of April. I'd be shocked if you get a tpw and car by the end of June. Either way when you get it you have a fabulous build! Red is popular for a reason because it looks great! Love the build!

Yes, 600. Stanford is getting 600-650 C8 allocations for the 2020 MY. Allocations are doled according to the number of Corvettes sold in previous years. Here are the top 5 Corvette selling dealerships in 2014:

Kerbeck, NJ: 1240
MacMulkin, NH: 919
Les Stanford, MI: 629

Criswell, MD: 487
Coughlin, OH: 431

THe torch red exterior and black interior looks awesome.

you asked for options so please dont be insulted as its just my opinion...i would suggest the red line around the rims is a bit too much.

Im older so dont be insulted.

either way your build is awesome.

good luck..

Not even remotely insulted for two reasons. First, I'm older than you. Second, I've received countless compliments on my C7 wheels with red stripe.
Best regards, Mariano
