nope. But the videos dont lie punky. Wide view.. Zoom in Looks flat to me...
Youtube.. as bad as fakebook.
And our fastest to date has yet to do a two way run.. right? Or did I miss that back to back on pdr both ways? Lol
The car is very capable. But it is a shame to pretend it is something it isn't. Just my opinion.
So you can determine grade from a video and a rather poor one at that. Simply amazing but it if helps you with your conspiracy theory then have at it Dude.
Still clinging to the idea that GM, MT, C&D, and now numerous Youtubers are all involved in an elaborate coordinated scam to falsify performance stats and create a misunderstanding that the C8 is as fast or faster than your C7 0-60.
Just an FYI GM does not recommend using launch control before 1500 miles...
It seems to me that the water temp is 160ish degrees, which means the oil can't be warmer than about 130 by this point. This is how mine warms up. It takes quite a while for engine oil temps to normalize. Point is, I doubt it's a great idea to be using launch control until all fluids are at "operating" temp. I'd also assume the car could make and put more power to the wheels as lubricants warm.
There is no way to tell from the videos whether it's flat or not, since there is no known-flat distant horizon (such as a body of water) to compare it to. Might be flat with an uphill section at the end. Rotate the camera a little, and it can just as easily look like 5 degrees uphill.

I agree coolant warms up faster than oil and always waited for my oil temps to hit 130* before beating on the car. Warmer lubricants do have slightly less parasitic loss, but didn’t show much of a difference on dyno in my experience with full synthetic engine oils. Not sure the threshold on the C8, but once coolant temps get over a certain point timing will be pulled which will lessen power as well. Maybe someone who’s logged one will chime in, so we can know the sweet spot.
