Don't know if this is still true for the C8, but C7 convertibles were never back to back on the production line because some stations required longer times. If this is still true for the C8, there will be no straight run of HTCs.

But, if what you suggest is true, if they were to operate at a slower rate with all stations in sync it might be possible. Anyway, I realize it’s probably a long shot, but it’s just a thought...
Toyota had recently effectively cut the forloughed workers pay effectively by 20% and they are not unionized.
And there is exactly why we still need unions, so these corporations can't screw the employees and cut their money like that. No reason a blue collar worker should have to suffer due to corporate greed.
I went 3000 like a week before they shut down. I would be surprised if I get a 2020.
Talked to dealer again today (about 2020 orders turning into 2021's ) and heard that they (GM) fear that startup logistics are going to be a nightmare with major problems being--- Mexico's lock down choking off the flow needed components , The States continuing closure of Auto Dealers impacting delivery of vehicles , and Staging UAW workers to minimize health risks. Supposedly this is why upper management is being called back early.

Yep... going to be challenging for sure. Hope product quality and assembly doesn’t go to ****.
I was at 3400 (Broadcast) with a 3/16 TPW (but no issued VIN) at the time the plant shutdown started.
As of today..... no updated Event Code, No declared TPW, and no VIN. No new info from my dealership (Hendrick of Hoover, AL). I feel as though I'm in the Twillight Zone...... especially some of you'all are getting such data for June/July production dates..... I can only guess I'm sitting at some station on the production line floor....covered with dust..... and no workforce.....
Anyone have a "best guess" in where I might be, in this queue???
if you are at 3400, don’t sweat bud. Your VIN is out there and your car will be completed right when they open up! Basically, your car is sequenced on the line with all the parts laid out, god knows where. Us 3400 are in the same boat
I am another 3400 (broadcast), I love all the speculation and like all of us I would really like my car to break up some of this doom and gloom. But the truth is GM has a real pile of noodles to untangle and they don't even know when to start untangling let alone where. They are a good company with a lot of great people so here's hoping.
