Some of you know I am the Corvette Specialist at a top 100 dealer. On the first day of the month, GM announces the rebates, programs, model news, etc. We have whats called a Zone GTM Call. All of the reps and the Zone Manager via the internet present a 45-minute meeting. The last two orders of business were the Corvette sales training and all product production. We were told the Corvette sales training for dealers at Spring Mountain will resume in late quarter 3 and quarter 4 of this year. So that looks like August through December.
We were told all the GM production plants will reopen by priority of product. Corvette, Silverado, and the new 2021 Tahoe/Suburban are the top three plants that will open first and no dates were set but they are looking for the third week of May.

I am sure over the last few weeks they continued to have parts delivered if they were available for all their cars. If not then it might be a few days to ramp up parts production and delivery to the factory.
I’m at 3400. So hopefully they say my parts are there. That’s a lot of parts because I have a vin and I’m 3542. And they say they only made 2700. I seen vins up in the 36 hundreds.
So if it’s true that they have all the parts in stock for 3400 cars. They have enough parts to keep them busy for a while.
I guess they keep parts on site for thousand cars?
Vins are assigned before car ever starts down line 2 weeks maybe. Yes cars in plant will be at different status codes when plant closed what was on line is still on line. When they startup they will finish build on those on line.
Parts are on the Line for cars coming down line those that were not on line yet would have parts coming by truck from supplier. If supplier shut down at same time they have parts on line to finish and they will be finished at start up.
