Filter is changed at 7500 miles. Fluid is topped off.

Full fluid change is 45,000 miles. Track use will shorten fluid drain intervals.

Can you give a synopsis of what you had to take apart to get at the top fill plug?

remove the rear trunk stuff there is a good video showing for installing new exh or nitrous kit that show them removing the parts

It's a ME and yes service will be tougher than just lifting the hood.

takes 10 min Not bad at all.

Are you considering the airbox removal trunk stuff?

Is there any legitimate reason the Tx doesn't have the extra 2 quarts as the normal fill mark, aside from initial cost to GM? The'll make it all back and then some at every Tx service.

Doubt it's the initial cost. Suspect from what Tadge has said the DCT clutches operate best at a given temp range. More fluid the longer it takes to get to the optimum temp/viscosity.

Just a "guess."

Perhaps the viscous friction of the added fluid hurts fuel economy during EPA certification? Just a wild guess, but not an unreasonable one.

Yep, they don't want the DCT fluid overcooled, no doubt to control viscosity, but don't say why.

Quoting info re the Z51 extra rear Rad:
Two front radiators send cold coolant rearward toward the engine bay, the fluid tees off to cool three main components: the engine itself, the transmission’s oil-to-coolant stack heat exchanger.

The Z51 package has a dedicated heat exchanger behind the passenger’s side large side vent. There’s a separate dedicate coolant loop on the Z51 that runs through the third rear radiator with a dedicated airflow path and a dedicated cooling fan. That adds bulk cooling, but it also cools the coolant that’s running into the trans oil liquid-to-liquid heat exchanger.

This extra heat exchanger further cools the liquid coming from the radiators up front, and then sends that extra cold coolant to the transmission. It’s just like an addition to the front two radiators in terms of its total capacity. It’s cooler coolant coming out of that rear heat exchanger runs directly to the trans cooler stack heat exchanger.

It’s a really effective way of getting good capacity and also not overcooling in cold weather.
(Assume managed with a temp controlled valve etc)

One guy bought this fluid at a chevy dealer. 2 quarts came to $100. The reason it says in the manual if the car is tracked then need to add 2 quartz.

You only have to do the track fill if you're going to track it hard. If you don't do the track overfill you service the fluid from the driver side fill port which is accessible without removing the trunk panel and air intake.
