The new silver is probably what I'd pick. It's a classic sports car color, with black interior, and it shows off the car's lines. The light gray does the same. My thinking is that with a car as incredibly proportioned as the C8, why do I want a bling color to make it stand out more? Although, I must admit, I'm tempted by the darker red shades...they also look outstanding.
The Bright Vivid "Safety Vest" colors do show the sharp lines more, IMO. Perhaps too much.
In addition, like the Lambo Countach, if the shape wasn't enough for folks seeing it pass to say, "Oh My God." they you could order a vivid color! It was named "Countach" because that was folks reaction to the shape alone! I prefer a more subtle colors. Can be done like I did for my Street Rod. Still gets a lot of "Great Looking Car" comments at Car Shows!
There are always ways to get attention, depends on what floats your boat!
Love the design of the 30's cars the most, and yours is just perfect. Great, classy color and subtle flame, too!

Thanks. It's still winning trophies after 20 years!
SIDEBAR
Funny story about the shape of the car! We had a world renowned sculptor, Alex Polcovich, living in town who was also the manager of GE's plant making MRIs- brilliant, talented guy. The local tech school arranged a "Welding Sculptor" contest for 5 SC tech colleges and 3 businesses in the area. He and I were on the advisor committee. I got folks to donate the equipment needed and he arranged to get professionals to judge the contest.
We had a theme and supplied the steel they could use (it was in a big pile they had to fetch.) The groups of students and industrial folks, in a 6 hour time slot, fabricated the sculptures that were auctioned at the end. The second year we invited a car show to participate to get more visitors. Brought my car and when Alex saw it, he was very excited with this "beautiful car" and was talking about the lines and a friend in England who designs cars he had to send pictures to etc. I told him, other than the 2 1/2 inch chopped top, he'd have to thank Henry Ford (actually his son) for the style as it is very close to what Ford produced in 1933 and '34!
SOME INFO ABOUT ALEX: Alex was born in the Ukraine and managed companies in the design and production of advanced medical equipment in Mexico, the United State, Israel, and the UK. As his business career flourished, so did his artistic career, as he sculpted and exhibited throughout the world.
He is a member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists and has won numerous awards for his sculpture including a British Design Award, a national award from the American Institute of Commemorative Art for his “Eagle” installation in Florence Veterans Park, a People’s Choice Award from the National Sculpture.
When he retired as CEO of GE's MRI production facility in town he devoted all his time to sculpting. He currently lives in London. Some pics of of his hundreds of works. That is a huge Eagle he sculpted for our Veteran's Park. That's Alex with then SC Governor Nikki Haley.
I went with Blade Silver Metallic with Adrenaline Red Interior, Bright Red Brake Calipers and Carbon Flash Wheels with the machined stripe. I think Silver shows off the lines the best!
Drive around and check out all the local "sled lots". All you see is gray, black, silver, white....gray, black, silver, white everywhere....boring cars and a ton of them. The front line up at our local Chevy dealer is the same thing, gray, black, silver and white trucks and SUV's. I guess that's what sells but they are still boring! Being the C8 is the new American "Super Car" as such, it needs to be a bright color that speaks the part.
For the Bright, Vibrant Color Fans who have not seen one in person, the C8 is NOT the "cute little car" that pics can make it appear. This is a size comparison with a C6 and C7:

My 2015 Z51, 3LT coupe was Blade Silver with Adrenalin Red interior. Worst paint job ever. Went to arbitration but no joy. I think they have a handle on it now. 2 coats of conductive primer instead of one. Haven't seen a bad Silver from 2016 on.
