For what it's worth, I've inquired about orders, deposits, and getting on a list with both Kerbeck and MacMulkin in the past year or so. I initially flirted with the thought of ordering a ZR1, and called Kerbeck to ask questions about the details of ordering a car since I had never attempted it before, and I also wasn't sure if you could even still "order" one to your specifications at that point since they had been out for a while. The guy I spoke to was great. Super helpful, super informative and just generally seemed like a nice guy. Ultimately I decided to wait for a C8 Z. Fast forward to a few months ago, (I thinkin late Jan or early Feb, but don't quote me on that), when I started seeing "spy shot's" and video's of suspected Z06 mules, I reached out to Kerbeck again to inquire about getting on the list. (I was more interested in Kerbeck than MacMulkin at the time because they were less than 2 hours drive away and MacMulkin was closer to 5..) The guy that I was connected with didn't seem too thrilled when I asked about Z06s, and he said they were not accepting deposits on them. When I asked why, he seemed even more irritated and bluntly said "We don't take deposits on cars that don't exist." I thought that was a little odd coming from the largest dealer in the country. I was surprised to hear this, but I figured that if I was going to order one then I wanted to be as early on the list as possible, so I said "ok, can you tell me what to watch out for or listen for to know when it's time to call back?" And again, sounding even more irritated he bluntly said, "Once the car is revealed." I found this particularly hard to believe because I could have sworn that I had seen comments from people on online forums that they had been on a list with Kerbeck for the C8 since LONG before they were revealed in July of 19'. So, to be fair, the guy may have just been having a really bad day, I know I've had plenty. Maybe I was the ten gazillionth person to call and ask about Z06s that day? Who knows. Either way, I figured that if they weren't accepting reservations yet, then I doubted anyone else was either. So I stupidly didn't call anyone else. A few weeks down the road, around mid Feb, I heard that MacMulkin was in-fact accepting deposits on them, and had been for a while. So when we (my wife) called, they were great, very easy to work with. And shortly after sending our deposit in we got the confirmation that it had been received, and that we were #66 on the list. I was of course, at least a little bitter with the guy at Kerbeck, since I based my assumption that no one was accepting deposits yet on what he had told me, but at the end of the day, that was entirely my fault for not calling other places sooner. As always, your mileage may vary.

And MacMulkin will do Courtesy deliveries to your local dealer (if they accept it). Kerbeck does not do Courtesy deliveries. You have to pay to have your car shipped from their dealership. With a Courtesy delivery you car gets shipped directly to your local dealer where you pay a small fee instead of what could be $$$$ to have it shipped from Atlantic City.

No idea what Kerbeck charges, but it is not zero. Call them and ask them their total fees. Also, I believe NJ requires them to collect NJ sales tax, even if being sold to an out-of-state resident. It is then credited to your state tax when registered in your state. That is what I have heard, but it could be wrong. On the other hand, NH has no sales tax, so MacMulkin does not have to collect any.

Nope, MacMulkin is strictly in NH (extreme southern NH). Only 5 hours drive to NJ. I'm doing NCM delivery and I'll be doing the Kentucky Craft Bourbon Trail and the Natchez Trace Parkway on a great road trip home to the Dallas area. Corvettes are great for road trips.

First, I want to thank everyone for all your inputs and recommendations.

I went with MacMulkin even though its out of state as that was a big deal for me and put in a deposit as of yesterday. I couldnt be happier going with them. Like many of you said, MacMulkin reps (Christina/Noah) are simply amazing. Answered all my questions without once feeling of being rushed. I know its just a corvette but to me its a dream car of mine since 1991. And purchasing experience so far at MacMulkin sure made me feel like i'm getting one.

For what its worth, I was told ( to their best knowledge) if everything goes well, I should see my 2021 C8 end of 2020 or beginning of 2021. And yes, they still have 2021 allocation. Again thank you all.

Congrats on taking the plunge! I'm in a similar boat as this will be my first Vette, and it's a car I've been dreaming about since the early nineties as well!

So their allocation i believe was 1150.... divide by 12 (95a month) and you should be in the third allocation.

I put down my deposit for a 2021 at MacMulkin the end of January. At the time I was #9 on the 2021 list. So unless a bunch of people on the 2020 list with deposits earlier than mine end up not getting a 2020, I should be in the first allocation. That would be a nice Christmas present!

Does anyone know how many people on MacMulkin’s 2020 list are not at a 3000 status?

At least 183 because thats where I am on the combine list and I believe there are only 10-11 2021 people in front of me. Its all based on date you paid your deposit so I would still assume with a jan deposit you are high up to middle of the list.
