Ok like everyone I have run the configurator 1,000 times with 1,000 different options. For those who currently have a C8 what if any options do you regret not ordering? At this point I am looking at a LT1 car with minimal options knowing I will lust after the Z06 when it show up. Keep in mind I am probably 9-12 months out from getting a car.
Beautiful C8Jake, I ordered the same color & interior. Was built last Wednesday for an R8C delivery, but no word since. Mine is a 3LT non-Z51 with the front lift, performance exhaust, dark gray stripes & shadow gray accents, fender hash marks, engine appearance w/red engine cover . Looking back, there are no other options I would have liked to have. Oh yes, and the lighted door sill's & chrome emblems.
Threads like this only create more confusion for the person asking for info. You'll either get almost no serious answers, or opinions all over the map. The folks who ordered an option will consider it indispensable, and those who didn't will likely say it's a waste of money.
I initially wanted a 1LT car, but went with the 2LT for the rear view mirror camera, front camera, and a few minor items. By the time I added Nav to the 1LT, the price bump was justifiable. I've gotten the most use from the rear view mirror camera, as the view out back is poor when changing lanes, even with the mirrors moved outwards.
IMHO, if you're adding Nav/PDR and any options to the base car, spend the extra 3-4k for the features of the 2LT..
I don't have one but if you are 9-12 months out on an order but lusting for a Z06 I would just get my name on a list for one at one of the bigger dealers. C8's are still going to be selling pretty well in the time period you stated and then would put you in a car about 14 months from now, if you have your name on a list. Might as well wait a couple more months and get the Z06????? That will give you a bit longer to decide what you would like to get. Baring in mind that the Z06 will come with a few items that are options on the base car and standard on the Z06. Assuming that the trend holds true for the future model.
