Are you using the PDF version of the Owners Manual? Much easier to search for stuff. It finds the "Universal Remote Programming" instructions on the 4th hit for "visor", the 1st hit for "garage door", 1st hit for "opener", etc. The printed manual is nearly worthless compared to the PDF version.
I've seen vehicles that just have a pocket in the visor to just slide in your existing garage door remote. I actually prefer something like that. If for any reason your vehicle is left outside, a simple break in and they have access to the Garage, house,... i prefer a removable remote - Just personal preference. I still can if i don' want to use the C8's visor. We'll see. At least it stays in the Garage 100% overnight for now.
