should be the same as any alignment, just using different target numbers
There is a lot more plastic to remove under the car in order to get to the adjusters. It also is kind of a pain to get the the forward legs of the rear control arms. I don't know if a dealer will charge more but I wouldn't have much confidence in someone that tries to knock it out in in an hour.

Not the case... you have to pull the rear wheel liners to remove a crush box to get at the forward leg of the rear UCA. Then you have to remove washers under all the UCA contacts and put it back together. Then you do the traditional alignment.
As this was posted in the C8 section, I assumed the Op was asking about the C8. if so, the track alignment is the same amount of work for track or street alignment.
going to pick up my car today after getting the track alignment. The service rep asked me if I knew the cost. I said no and he said its around 700.00 but would help me out. I was pretty shocked. We will see final outcome. It seems one thing after another is disheartening about this car . they jacked up the price of the car 5k when i bought it. Now 700 track alignments? Hope its just the first one and not everyone or there will be a pretty Elkhart blue c8 for sale.. ill follow up with the cost. If its a 3 hour job I can be ok with that if charged accordingly.

Mine is being done at the best place in Washington State, TruLine, better than any dealership, and it is $240, you are getting ripped off.

I'd bet they're losing money, you're not getting what you asked for, they don't adjust rear caster or there is a 19 year old kid that's never touched a Corvette before working on the car. After doing all the work to remove washers, lower the car and prep for it's first track alignment, there is no way I can see any good shop doing it for $240. Touching up the alignment or making small adjustments to the initial track alignment later might be $240. We had a local hole-in-the-wall shop quote a customer $325 for a C8 track alignment and that was the cheapest I'd heard of.
Post your alignment sheet and let us know what they actually did to get you the best alignment in Washington state.

Yeah its a pain to get there I chicken **** slotted them so don't need to pull if I change alignment.
Just curious how many people have had track alignment completed. My car is at the dealer now. They called me to make sure I am tracking the car because they stated they have to take apart "half of the car" to complete the alignment. I realize the track prep guide states that "the upper control arm to body washers on all four corners will need to be relocated from between the body and the control arm to between the head of the bolt and the control arm." Apparently this is what taking "half of the car apart" means.
They quoted $900 to do the track alignment.
What have others paid for the track alignment procedure?

FYI - My dealer eventually charged me ~$400 after they came to realize the scope of the work involved in setting a proper track alignment on a 2020 C8 Z51 w/mag. Originally, the service manager had given me a written estimate of ~$100 to perform an 'alignment'....
Though I must happily add that my Corvette servicing is costing much less money than the equivalent work on my 911.

I think I'm going to do the washers myself to bond with/get to know the car better. Then they can finish the alignment. At that point, it better be freakin cheaper than $900 or even $400!
You received a great deal at $400. I picked up my car yesterday and they did charge $900 for the alignment with the explanation that they had to remove all four upper control arms and moved the washer to the outside near the head of the bolt. It also cost me $325 to add two quarts of transmission fluid which included 2 quarts of tranny fluid at $129 just for the fluid. They also did a brake fluid flush for $110 and added the high temp racing fluid that I provided to the dealer.
Another dealer provided a price of $230 for the alignment but I was not convinced he knew that they had to do the extra work of detaching the upper control arm (Just FYI).

$275.00 at dealership but I did the control arms and lowered the collars which took about an hour . It’s a great time to get rid of those useless pagid pads the car comes with. I find them useless for the track so many better options . After the control arms are moved they really are only tweaking the toe I believe . Nothing crazy I will be going much more aggressive than the factory track speed but I needed to start with some kind of reference point .
It looks like the standard price for track alignment (if the dealer knows what they are doing and price the work appropriately) with the removal and replacement of the upper control arm washers is between $875 to $900. I see in another thread that other people were quoted $875 and I just paid $900. I was just very surprised at $900.

Did they tell you how they added the tranny fluid? Typically, they would take the whole trunk apart to do this which appears to be a PITA. For $325, that appears to be 2.5 hours at $130/hr. Does that sound about right? Only 2.5 hours? Great if so! But I think you may have overpaid for the quart at $129 each. I could have sworn I read it to be <100 somewhere.
