Default Need Help with Workbench

I have my workbench for a 2021 HTC build. Not sure what to look for and hoping someone with experience with the codes can weight in.

I want my roof and nacelles to be body color and not the carbon flash. My car is black and with black the other body color accents are not offered and will be carbon flash, items such as the side vents and front and rear bumper accents. I believe the roof is correct on workbench. It is coded CM9 - painted roof.

It also shows EFR - Exterior trim accents carbon flash. This is what I mentioned above.

What I do NOT see, is any reference to the nacelles. So the question - should there be a separate line item for body colored nacelles or are they covered in the CM9 roof? If there is a separate line item to make nacelles body color, anyone know what that is?

Thanks!

On Black Convertibles you cannot get Carbon Flash Nacelles anything. The configurator makes you remove black paint if want the carbon flash nacelles. You can switch from EFR- Carbon Flash Side Vents (Standard) to EFY- Body Color Side Vents if you do not want the carbon flash vents.

Thanks -
Based on what you've said, I went back to the 2020 configurator and built a white HTC and viewed the options in exterior. Then I went back to the beginning and changed the color to black. In exterior, some of the options didn't appear there, but a couple of the standard options like body colored accents were there. If you click on it a message comes up that says if you choose this option the body color changes too from black to arctic white.

So, I am guessing with a black coupe or HTC you cannot accidentally configure something weird but I am still a little puzzled by the CM9.

CM9 is the default code for the entire roof to be painted body color.

Another way to double check your workbench order is to make sure the MSRP price reflected in the order matches what options you have selected.

Yes, thanks, good advice. Just checked and the prices agree, so that's good. But, thinking through it more, the config is for the 2020, of course. The dealer's WB config was just last week. Now I'm wondering if the 2021 price increases have been added to my WB. This might have one of two different answers - No, my workbench order doesn't reflect any new pricing for 2021; or, everything I've chosen has no price increases for the 2021 MY.

Essentially - Black; HTC; 2LT; Trident Gray wheels; NPP; Museum - and that's pretty much it.

There is no mention of the nacelles on the black car since there is only one option. Not sure why they list the roof and not the nacelles, but rest assured that your car will have both black roof and nacelles. Hope you enjoy your ride when it gets here!!

Yes, thank you! It is a hard wait. I've been watching the C8 and lurking here since 2019. It's my personal position not to jump on a first MY in a series (and not just GM either). I'm not a good early adopter which means I wait longer.

Yes, for a "moment" I feared the black car would look like I had the roof and nacelles wrapped in a flat/satin wrap....not a look for which I was going...hahaaa...

The 2021 Workbench order should be reflecting the 2021 prices. Off the top of my head, the major increases were front lift +$500 to $1995 and Z51 +$1000 to $6000. They held the line on most everything else (base price, HTC and trim levels).

Yes, I think that's a pretty good assessment. At first, when I was configuring a coupe (and before I went HTC) I wanted Z51 on it, and I picked up enough info that it had increased from the $5000, but I wasn't adding any of the other items. Just Trident wheels and they appeared to stay the same.

I voted yes. Ordered my TR with it, but I will be immediately changing out the rear grills for carbon flash ones. If you get the option, you should consider doing the same. The black vent grills are only $55 each.
