Default Pdr ?

How do I get the PDR to recognitions local track and give me times? On the c7 it was a button to define start finish line but the c8 does not have this. It says tracks are available for download at the cosworth tool box?

From the Owners Manual (pages 135-136):

display the track selection screen.
. Select Custom Track, then Learn

. Only one track can be learned
during each recording session.
To learn a new track, end the
current recording and start a
new one.
Custom Track Learning - Circuit
. Select Circuit, when at the
starting line, as the track type.
The starting line is located at the
current vehicle position.
. Circuit track learning will
complete automatically when the
vehicle crosses the start/
finish line.
. Touching X in the upper right
corner will exit the track learning
process.

Did you exit the learning process and then go back in and select the track you learned?

I was in the paddock and the pdr did not recognize the track. Are you telling me i have to drive the track, when i get to the start finish line hit “record” and then the pdr will create a track? If that’s the case Gm took a huge step backward, the c7 pdr would recognize the track based on the gps and give you the option to select the track.

If it is not a recognized track, you have to define the track by driving it once using the custom track learning instructions.

I struggled a little with the new C8 PDR version. I went and did some "laps" around the neighborhood to figure it out. Here is what I came up with...

For 1st time on a track…

Open PDR

Select “Lap Timing”

Select “Learn” or “relearn” (upper left)

start driving track.

When passing your start location hit “Circuit” (PDR will say “learning circuit track”)

(after 1 lap the PDR view will change back to startup view)

Select “Start Recording” and your times will start to be recorded.

(After done, put SD card in a computer and rename the track with your preference)

If you’ve previously recorded the track…

Open PDR

Select “Lap Timing”

Scroll down and highlight your track’s name (or select “Custom lap” if you haven’t renamed it)

Hit “OK” (bottom left)

Select “Start Recording” and your times will start to be recorded when you pass the start/finish

Have the DIC in “Performance”/”Lap Timer” to show your times
