Interesting observation on Kerbeck list.

Several orders with a 12/21 TPW have been issued VINs ranging from 69 to 202.

I guess TPWs don’t mean as much as what VIN your order is assigned.

Good news for those of us with 12/21 TPWs.

The first car on Kerbeck's Order Status page is a Silver Flare and the TPW is 1/4/2021, but that is the only Silver Flare with a TPW on the entire page. So it looks like January will be the start of Silver.

My initial deposit with Kerbeck was on 2 Jun 20. I was told that I was 654 on the list. I was also informed that Kerbeck doesn’t change that number as people drop out, so we are all probably slightly closer to the finish line than it appears.

Have you been told an estimate of when the car will come? I'm I think 619 and I haven't been able to get an estimate from them.

They don’t want to speculate. But based on the numbers so far, I would guess that I would be in the 4th month allocation. It depends on how many people have canceled their orders.

Number 120 with a TPW of 12/14/2020. Most likely early January.

thanks. First month being November so arrival ballpark February? If so, hope it’s a warm winter.

Yep, why should Kerbeck "speculate" when folks will be pissed off when they are wrong!

For those trying to guess, you can BUT be may be way off. Not Kerbeck's issue it's GM's and their venders. No need to have Kerbeck "say anything." You have their list of orders and Event Codes posted on their website "Updated Daily!'

SIDEBAR
I ordered my 2020 car late July 2019. I was about 1/2 way though their "Original GM allocation," which for all dealers was cut in about half. I went to 3000 in March. There was frequent forum speculation of "Can GM make all 3000s?" A Press Release occurred around April 2019 that said (as I read it) perhaps not. With Covid19 how could GM even know?

I was expecting about a November build as time went on assuming it was made and I didn't get pushed to a 2021! Never asked my great Kerbeck Salesman Sam Kelly to "guess!" Heck I could see their list and knew I was not far from the end.

Then all of a sudden my LBR moved up ahead of others. There were posts noting other LBR's on the Kerbeck list moved up at the same time. Some forum "speculation" was because of color as there had been few LBR made up to that time. Frankly I doubt that as there were some LBR on their list that did not move up. Changing paint color is no big deal and under BG control. Who knows?

I got my C8 on September 2nd. Lots of C8s on the Kerbeck list that still needed to be built and even get estimated build date! Frankly, I assume GM had all parts in stock to build my car, which for some they may not. Little doubt they were operating hand to mouth with the many vendor parts. How the heck could Kerbeck "guess" which were and were not!

I recall that one GM Press Release around April where it was stated by a Tremec Spokesman, "They were keeping up with the GM demand." Didn't make me feel very good as at the time they were operating only one shift and needed two shifts and double the production to come close to building all 3000's by the end of 2020! So Tremec keeping up with demand meant they were producing at about half the rate for GM to be able to make all 2020's they were "hoping" to produce. The Press Release stated vendor parts availability where preventing starting a 2nd.

Just sayn! Don't be upset when your "logic" as to when your 2021 will be built is wrong!

If the first MY2021 deliveries are in January, then the 4th month is April. So I’m hoping for an April or May delivery.

I fully understand why Kerbeck won’t speculate. I don’t blame them. I will say that Kerbeck has been outstanding so far.

VIN No. 148 built yesterday. Was 120 on Kerbeck list. Now the real wait begins.

Just curious, is your car a 2021?

What number you are on the dealers list has no bearing on what order GM will pull your order for production. All first quarter allocations are jumbled together.

One customer may have placed a deposit earlier than another customer, but GM may pull orders in a different sequence.

Not really the whole quarter. Each MONTHLY batch of allocations are jumbled together. The November allocations will mostly be at 3300 with TPWs set (or 3400 or even 3800, produced) before the December allocations are even accepted. There will be some crossing over from month to month, but the bulk of one months allocations will be sequenced before the next month of allocations.

how long do you normally wait to receive your waitlist number after you send in your docs and deposit to kerbeck?

iI was told my wait list number the same day I left a deposit. If mailing in a payment, you will probably want to wait until the check clears so you know they got it and then if they hadn’t already emailed you the number, check with either your salesperson or Dave @ Ciocca.

I wired my money in on the 1st of July and verified that it arrived and they had my paperwork shortly thereafter. Also sent an email the other day asking when I would get my number and Dave said they were updating the list and I would have my number shortly. I want to be patient because I know they are busy but I would like to know that I am on the list. I will send another email tomorrow. Thank you for the response.
