Default Kerbeck list

Huge shift in their list today - many many 2021s went to 3300 with TPW dates. Seems all the red mists are still at 3000. Wont be seeing that color soon

Probably a big portion of your deposit which covers the fees. I am with Kerbeck #1062 September 7 2020.

Ask! In my recent 2017 Grand Sport and C8, it was small and when all was finished got a check back for more than half. There are NJ and SC fees in my case!

BTW they were both Curtesy Delivery and the local Dealer was surprised that they had to do nothing with SC. They do Courtesy Delivery Exec cars for the large manufacture in that town and have to go to SC DMV. I got a temp plate mailed to me and Kerbeck handled all the paperwork with SC- not easy now with Covid. They got and paid for the SC License Plate to be sent to me. Thanks Sam Kelly at Kerbeck!

I could NOT get SCDMV on the phone when I was trying to get my custom license plate. The website says call then a computer says we're busy try again. Had to make two appointments with the local SC DMV to get my Month sticker after I paid the $1400 personal property tax! Don't feel bad we have a max $500 sales tax on cars.

People get so bent out of shape over doc fees but have no issue when they finance the car at the dealership and pay several % points more which equates to thousands of dollars more in interest which is easily way more than the doc fee would ever be. I know that a small % of buyers bring their own financing or pay cash but the majority of buyers finance through the dealer at the time of purchase and Kerbeck's current 2.49% for up to 72 months blows away what other dealers are offering.

No surprises with Kerbeck. I paid exactly what was said on the phone when I got quotes for the 3 cars I bought from them! As I mentioned, got a check for fees that they did not have to pay after it was delivered. They managed what the Courtesy Deliver dealer's controller (who I only dealt with no salesman etc who don't make a dime) that they have to handle for the ~4000 person employer in that small town where they do Courtesy Delivery for their Salesman and Execs!

I have bought other than Vettes where they charged an advertising fee etc. None of that BS with Kerbeck.

Agreed. One should always evaluate total cost, including the time value of the $.

Cash buyer with own funds here, so simple OTD $ mattered most to me, not the cost of the time value of the $.

2.49% for 72 pretty good tho.

Kerbeck and back home in one day. MM would require overnight stay so I'm still ahead.

Agreed, So then I look at availability, ability to deliver, ease of delivery and other intangible factors such as time it takes to register the car myself vs having Kerbeck do it for me. I live 40 miles from Kerbeck. Even if I paid cash, do I give a rats *** about saving $479 if I have to travel hundreds of miles each way to pick up a car? Everyone's situation is different but to compare just the doc fee and absolutely nothing else makes no sense at all. When I see these posts strictly about doc fees... I just shake my head and wonder if these people are that dumb or the posts are by fanboys of a particular dealership and trying to influence others without painting the whole picture.

Yep, in addition I did not pay $479! As I said got a check for what document costs were not incurred. For the C8 it was over half the estimate. Fact is they have NJ fees and my SC fees. Handled all the required paperwork via FedEx giving me a return prepaid FedEx envelop I just dropped off.

Folks can buy where they wish but don’t care for BS statements.

Kerbeck is #1 for a reason. They are #1 in my book!

I did not order my 2021 C8 through Kerbeck but look at their website every day as I can quickly see if order numbers changed like they did today to 3300 and then ask Concierge team about mine. So here is my question. Like most other 2021 C8 orders I went to 3300 today. I see everyone who is on the Kerbeck list at 3300 has a TPW. Corvette concierge told me they don't have a TPW and they won't know this until it hits 3400. How did Kerbeck get this info. or maybe I just had someone at GM who did not know how to look it up.

Thanks

From my previous experience, the daily update that Kerbeck gets and posts on their website is the most up to date available and is ahead of the information that the Concierge gets. Just check back daily on Kerbeck's site as there is no other source that I am aware of that has any more current info. Your dealer should have the same access to information as Kerbeck does so perhaps check with your dealer for the TPW. It's just going to drive you crazy with anticipation anyway and the car won't get there any faster regardless, so maybe just wait for the call that your car arrived. lol

You must not live in North Jersey. It's worth $479.00 not to have to go there. LOL

Thanks. You are correct it won't speed it up but will drive me crazy :-)

I noticed most of the Kerbeck allocations were getting made in the next couple of weeks. I thought the first round of dealer allocations were for an entire quarter but looks like maybe 1 month in advance. Am I thinking about this correctly?
