Rick Conti said on his YT channel that if you order a C8 through him he can ship it to California faster than GM can. He ships directly via truck whereas GM uses rail to get it to Cali. The train has 2 rail stops along the way which delays time of arrival.

Yes. All the dealers can do that and that is actually what I am doing with Criswell; they ship by covered carrier. The cost from the east coast to the west coast is $2000-2500 and will usually take about a week. My TPW was 2/8, so now I get pushed out another week because of the shutdown.
Btw. When I ordered my 2015 C7 back in late 2014, the transit time from the factory to my dealer in Orange County was 4 weeks.

Wait until Biden makes CSX use solar powered trains. You think 4 weeks is bad.

Mine was frustrating SLOW. A total of 9 weeks from build to dealer. MacMulkin order, Seattle area courtesy delivery. My 2020 delivered in Washington State a week ago. Factory to Toledo OH rail yard, 4 days. 7 weeks sitting in Toledo yard. 3 days to reach Kent, WA rail yard, sat 7 days in Kent, 21 miles from dealer. Delivered last week. Next time it's either Museum delivery, or enclosed truck transport. Once the railroad has it, neither Concierge or Dealer, no one can get info or improve delivery timing. OnStar lets you see where it waits. I don't know if Cali is better times than Washington.
