Default Red or Blue?

We pretty much always hard charcoal or black cars, The occasional white too. ‘Safe’ choices

We are trying to decide on our HTC 3LT Z51

Torch Red. Black interior Black roof. Body colour trim carbon trim and front lift
We never had a red car.

Elkhart Blue dipped natural interior. Body colour trim and roof. Carbon trim and front lift

Red looks great in pictures but too “arrest me red”? Love the colour but wondering ...

Blue looks super nice too. Never had a blue car either. Apparently the dipped natural interior reflects badly on the windshield. Would not know. Never saw to see for ourselves

I noticed that there are quite a few awesome looking Ferrari 458 and 488s in the same red/black and blue/natural combinations. Just like the C8...

For (lucky) C8 owners of red/black or blue/natural how do you feel about your choices once you own your C8 for a while ?

Our Mustang GT convertible is magnetic grey. Our Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT is diamond black.

A red or blue C8 seems like a nice change...

Either red or blue would be a great choice for your C8. I am really liking the Red Mist color on the C8.

Peruse "The Official Color Threads" link up at the top of this of this C8 discussion forum. Guaranteed to keep you busy for days. It will either help you with your decision or leave you dazed & confused,

follow your gut and what you love, not the opinions of others. Did that with my GT500 - wanted red, too many friends said black so i ordered black. I no longer own that black GT500 that needed cleaning too often.

I was lucky enough to find a local dealer with the color combo I wanted to order. While I was waiting for the courtesy deliver contact I just sat with the car. I had plenty of time to get a good feel for it and when it was time to finalize my order it was easy for me.

HTC Torch Red Black Roof, Black mirrors and wing. I do like the black breaking up the red and I like the black roof for the 1993 Camaro nostalgia look.

Got the LT2 red interior as well. Was attracted to that interior color the first time I saw it. I chose the interior color before the exterior. I'll spend more time there.

I've always ordered my Corvettes in black or silver.
After seeing all the colors in person, I'd suggest ELB.
I'm going with ELB with Sky Cool Gray interior. Rapid would be my second recommendation.

Seven Corvettes in a row have been brightest red available—they

always look great. But that blue combination would be beautiful. Maybe you need two?😊

Not to be too superstitious but when car shopping I always remember the quote from the movie Used Cars: "Red cars are bad luck". The only time I had one it proved to be totally true... It was a red colored lemon. And it was a GM product, though not a Vette. It was a 1987 Z28. I had the choice of 2 on the lot, red and blue. Should have picked the blue. This time with my C7 that's what I did and it has been perfect so far.

Having had 4 blue Corvettes over the years and loving Laguna Blue 2014-2016, we were looking forward to ELB.
We saw the ELB sample at Carlisle a few years ago and took the panel next to a LB car and thought it was OK.
When we went to Carlisle last year, we saw our first 2020 in ELB and where disappointed, as it was too dark in the shadows
and didn't have the bright blue sparkle as in the sun. Most of the photos shown on this forum are directly in the sun and look great !
The TR is a much brighter color and doesn't shade darker on a overcast day.
Just our observation for you to consider.
Take a look at these photos taken at Carlisle August 2020 on the same day.

Just about any color looks great on a C8! Changed my color to Torch Red after seeing them all in person. It really helps your decision process when you can see different color combinations in person. Decide what is best for you!

The choice is yours. I ordered ELB with natural (not dipped). However, red is also great. FWIW, here is a link to the thread on reflections. Scroll down to see the pictures. window reflections with dipped interior

Two of my personal favorite colors and combinations on the C8 . Love both and makes for a tough choice. I have a ELB /Black 19 ZR1C7 that I plan to keep so In the end I chose the Red with Black interior C8 with Black top . First Red Corvette I've own since 1979 .

Pretty sure I’m going with ELB. Lots of sun here in NC, so shadows not a worry. No black wheels for me, takes away from the brilliance of the paint job.

Out of the four Corvettes I've owned, my current one is white. All the others have been red. My 15 C7 was torch red with the adrenaline red interior and I got so many compliments on that car. I would walk out of stores and restaurants and find people taking pictures of it or ask me if they could take a picture with their kid sitting in it. I always let them.

I'm planning on ordering a C8 convertible later this year and it will be Torch Red with the adrenaline red interior. I'm not sure if I will keep the C6 I currently own. It's modded so I may make it a track car.
