First, congratulations to those of you that have reached the end of the line, or are getting close! I just read through the last few months of your journeys... exciting and at times frustrating - I lived vicariously through your experiences.
Since most of the traffic is about Jan/Feb... dates... I'll throw in my 1100 status Ordered (retail sold) from 13 March 2021 (1st time corvette owner, feel like I'm being born). I understand the next allocation is 10 April, so hopefully I see movement then. Being an internal optimist, with a July expected cutoff for 2021's that hopefully means I'll receive the order the end of July. If the allocation comes through as expected 10 April, does that sound reasonable?
I ordered in Northern Virginia from Bomnin Chevrolet (the largest Corvette dealer in the areas as far as I know). They told me that I should be good (time will tell), other Corvette dealers in the areas stated I could only be put on a wait list, and it didn't look promising. I realize if there are delays that will likely mean being pushed into 2022. That was my original plan until I heard the likelihood of 2022 levels going up $5k - again being an eternal optimist, I hope perhaps they'll offer some concession if it gets pushed But would love to be driving my 2021 this summer!
Congrats, hopefully the wait from this point on is not as bad as it was a year + ago.
I contacted Shane, even though I don't have an R8C, and he told me a tentative TPW of 4/5, just like people here were saying. The car gets built when GM decides to, my knowledge of it doesn't help anything, but it's good to know that I'm making progress.
Space Jockey... I was skeptical too but based on my experience you should be good. I walked in by chance on January 2nd just to look and they said they had two January allocations left so I put down the 5% and got a workbench order. I went to 3300 on 3/12 with a TPW of 3/29, not bad considering the three and a half week shutdown for supply chain/weather. Just waiting to see how the final delivery experience goes...
Update - Just received notification from my dealer that my 1100 status Ordered (retail sold) from 13 March 2021 has been updated to 2000 (GM accepted). That's a big step right? he said that my order is 16 of 16 in their system. Does that mean I just got in under the wire? I guess I don't completely understand the level of significance of the update, but since its and update for an order only made 5 days ago, that seems impressive all the same. He said he's confident we will see this car this summer!

Means you’re in the March Allocations all dealerships are entering in the GM System.
My understanding after Tuesday next week GM hopefully will move allocations submitted to Status 3000 Accepted by Production Control.
Moving along sounds awesome! Are most 1100's moved to 2000 within a week, or did I just get very fortunate?
I have been at 1100 since 9/14/20 when made a deposit with my order. If you just ordered a car with your dealership a couple weeks ago.
And moved to allocation this week- well there have guys waiting 12-18 months for an allocation. I would go buy a Mega lottery ticket😜
Ok, since it's only been 5 days, I went on the GM website and chatted with them, I am going to go buy a lottery ticket! They confirmed 2000. Hope the rest goes this smooth! Perhaps the log jam is truly breaking free. Hope all those have been waiting get great news as well. Thanks! I have a big smile on my face, was a little discouraged that what I was being told by the dealership might not be true based on a lot of the things I have read after going in and putting a deposit down, but they've been better than their word so far!

You either got fortunate that you found a dealer with an immediate allocation or you did your homework and found one. The only reason you would sit for a long time at 1100 is that you are with a dealer that doesn't get many allocation/if any, or a mega dealer with 1000 on the wait list. MacMulkin gets around 160 per month so it take 6-12 months to make it from 1100 to 2000 there.
I have a dealer in Dallas area that gets around 3-4/month and I got one 3 weeks after my deposit.
Then 3000 happens the following week after turning 2000. I've been stuck at 3000 for 45 days. Update as of just now... Finally at 3300! Yay! 😁😁😁
Made my weekly Friday call to the concierge: now at 3400 and emailed my dealer requesting vin. Its being made next week!
It was a 1/26 allocation and I was informed 3/5 my TPW was 3/22.
