So im hoping someone can explain the process to me better..so my dealer tole me yesterday that he put in my build bc it came up on his list...what does that exactly mean and whats the process now besides wait.
thank you
If your order “came up on his list” I suspect that means he got an allocation yesterday (when this month’s allocations were made available to all dealers) to match against your order. It is probably at 2000 status today but will be at 3000 early next week. My order went to 2000 on a Friday after allocations were released on Thursday. It went to 3000 on the following Tuesday.
Also go to Chevrolet.com and use their live chat icon. They will come on line and you can ask them where your order is located in the build process. They will answer very quickly.
Congrats on your order being pick up and really soon you will be driving away from the dealership with your new C8 hot rod. What dealership did you use? I picked my 2021 HTC in early Jan from Rick Hendrick Duluth GA. Great people, no bs, knew from the start what was going on.
Can also text to that number and get the same information

when i started my chat via corvette.com via my iphone it transitioned into a text thread. the contact in the Messages app displays as "Corvette" as verified. now that i have the text thread initiated, i just return to it each time via Messages on the iphone and resume subsequent conversations directly there. also a nice route since i have the history of all my prior dialog.
My car hit status 3000 so what does that mean exactly?
That means that the plant has accepted your order and locked in your spec. It will remain there until they confirm all parts are available, at which point it moves to to 3300 and then 3400 once they are able to project a production week for your car.
This process used to be pretty consistent, but has entered a vast grey area after the 3 weeks worth of shutdowns in Feb and March.

And you don't have to provide them your first and last name and order number every time? If so, I will have to try that.
