[QUOTE=JerryU;1603174460]Yep if I didn't have side skirts, I would get these in RED (the above post showed the availability on Amazon) :

The jacking pucks won't fit if you have the side skirts? I ask because I'm considering the same side skirts.

Easy for tech to put their lift arm pad in what looks like a good place BUT it's outside the frame!

Even Rick Conti's tech Chuck is not doing what I found the only way to find the GM specified oval slot in the rear. Have jacked mine several times (installed low dust pands, splitter, side skirts, AC Condenser mesh) and each time had my head on the garage floor and used a flashlight! Suggest trying to find the slot yourself. Most techs are NOT going to put their head on the shop floor. Unless as experienced as Chuck, good chance of hitting the wrong location! RED will be easier to see.
can you not put these on if you have the side skirts?

The Diagram below would seem to indicate that properly mounted pucks would still allow for skirts to be attached...

Don't need them. My dealer lifts the car this way....and they provide pucks for when it has to be lifted using a jack....

The side skirts extend somewhat under the rocker panels. In addition the frame is below the composite rocker panels. It all adds up. I use these now and have 4 in my tool bag in the C8. If going to a tire shop where they often have post lifts so tires hang free and NO Vettte techs I would bolt in these 1" high pads temporally.

Available from Reverse Logic a forum vender. Can even make higher with available spacer,

I too made some using hockey pucks, but used eye-bolts to get that elongated shape where it twists in to stay temporarily. (C6, waiting on my C8.) To me it appears the lifting spots that are not correct have round holes, not the elongated shaped holes at the appropriate lifting points. So if the mechanics would use the proper pucks, they would realize the don’t fit in the round holes, and look further and realize there are in fact other holes to fit the pucks. But there in lies the problem. They don’t look, they don’t even bend down to look. So if one even has the pretty red ones permanently attached, what are the chances they’ll even see them? I am thinking when taking to a dealer bringing the photos above and having them sign off on reading them.

When I took my brand new C6 to my dealer, I told the service writer to be sure to use lifting pucks. (At that time it was to prevent cracking the rocker panels, not from cracking the car in half.) He never heard of them, but assured me he knows better than me, since he use to work at a Mercedes dealership. Asshat! Fortunately I walked around to the back and saw the young man walk to the cabinets and pull out the pucks.

Yea me too....warned them. But when I went to the car they had cracked a rocker panel. Went in to tell them and they asked how’d you find that? I said I put my far *** on the ground and inspected them. No problem we’ll fix it! Their fix....to rip off the panel and replace it. Fortunately I had a body man who was skilled enough to patch the crack. So much for a free oil change.
