Awesome! I sold my C7 too early too and the wait is antagonizing!
Yep...strike and Covid....
I thought I would get more for it (my C7, sold in April 2019) if I sold it before the C8 was shown in July 2019. What I DIDN'T know in April 2019 was that the C8 was going to be DCT ONLY. My C7 was a convertible MANUAL, which are very rare birds. Based on what they are selling for right now, I could have kept it for last 2 years and basically driven it for free, less gas, tires, upkeep. I got what I "thought" was crazy good money for it when I sold it in April 2019...now, convertible manuals are actually going for a little more than what I got in 2019...
Beautiful car, Jimmy. I know what you mean. I sold my 2017 Z51 in June of 2019 and I thought I could patiently wait. Now I’m looking at a June 🤞delivery. Being without a Vette has not been fun.
Congratulations!
I always liked your C7. At first the standard wheels made it look cheap. Then I saw a pic of yours with the black accents, and thought they were the best. Then Chevy changed the design, and was disappointed. Never did get a C7, but sure did like yours.
(I am getting a C8. Just got the allocation notice from MM. Can’t wait.)

Thanks. Yeah, the standard, non Z51 5 spoke wheels were pretty dull looking, IMO. I talked to a friend back then who had his BMW wheels powder coated with machined faces so I copied him. $800 ALL IN for powder coat, machined faces, remounted and balance tires, a great deal. Best $800 I've ever spent.
Congratulations on your C8. You will love it.
Here's what it looked like originally. I think the powder coated/machined face wheels totally changed the look, for the better. Hard to believe it's the same wheels...
Very nice build on your new HTC jimmyb! I especially like the Vert with painted roof and nacelles...beautiful understated elegance and power.......congratulations.
Congrats Jimmy, you're one of the good guys on here and I enjoy your posts. Wish you the very best with your new car, it is gorgeous!
Thanks, Phil, you are too kind, and back at you. I can always count on you to post something that is correct (!!!) and ON POINT.
And thanks for the compliment on the car. I think it is gorgeous as well. It is fun getting used to a sports car again...the SS was my surrogate Corvette for the last 2 years, and now I have a garage with over 1,000 HP in it!!!!
495 + 415 (SS) + 150 (the good old 2010 Ford Transit Connect)
The Transit was PISSED it got left out of the picture!!!
After nearly 2 years of no Corvette, the car came in! I thought I was being clever selling my C7 in April 2019...then the strike, then Covid...
Anyhow, it is here and it is a spectacular car!
I'll write more once I get some miles under my belt, but who cares about that...We need PICTURES
2LT, Silver Flare with painted nacelles/top, Natural interior, NPP

Have you thought of doing to your C8 wheels what you did to your C7’s? I think it would really make the car “POP”.
