I had promised that I will post pictures of my new 2022 C8 Coupe in Hypersonic Gray pictures as soon as I got my new car.
Well, after waiting 10 months here they are, hope you like them.
Darker and less blue tone than CMGrey and possibly lighter than the current silver? Will have to see how it compares side by side...It could just be the best alternative of the three silver/greys....
I was hoping it would be darker... looks close to silver flare in some ways.
To me, close to silver flare is a good thing now that it is no longer available.
If you compare the quarter panels of the new colors from the bash, it is obvious that the Hypersonic Gray panel shows off the subtleties of the C8's lines much better than the other colors.

Silver flare is still available. This replaced shadow grey
While I really like Silver Flare (and my order is for Silver Flare), I think deep down I find it a touch light, and am not really into how much gold it casts in sunlight. That being said I would not be disappointed with Silver Flare from the many pics I have seen (being that I am a graphics designer and have calibrated computer monitors that cost more than most peoples TV - I'm pretty sure I know what to expect from SF IRL).
However, it seems like this is that slightly darker shade of metallic silver I was hoping SF would have been. I need to see more pics, but I am thinking I might switch to HG. I hope they show pics in the sun.
Also, Amplified Orange is beautiful (and I do not like orange on cars).
This grey in the photo above looks like the Cement color on the Toyota Tundras. But the swatch at the Bash looks nothing like either. Holding out hope it looks darker on a whole vehicle and not a twin of Silver Flare.
This is NOT an improvement over Shadow Grey. It lacks character, and is too close to Silver Flare.
I've owned a SHADOW GREY C6, and it was beautiful.
PASS on this new color.
