Rear view camera finally fixed, after over 2 months of GM troubleshooting. turns out it was a pinched/frayed coaxial cable causing the problem. Cable was pinched waaay in the front of the car, as the cable approached the video control module.
vehicle ready for pickup tomorrow. Convertible top still not working , but at least that's one problem down
this is either a wiring or video control module problem … I would take it in and have it evaluated while it’s still under warranty …
I did a couple of times and they said unless it's inoperative at the time it's hard for them to find the problem. So, I guess I need to have it not working when I'm at the dealership and that hasn't happened yet.

that’s beyond frustrating … sorry you’re dealing with that, this is a common enough issue , there needs to be a TSB on troubleshooting for this , but I guess it’s hard to know which of the three areas needs to be replaced if it’s working when you bring it in
Just picked up my 23 from NCM. I'm intermittently having this issue over 850mi and 3 days. Everything else is working fine. Anyone figure out what causes this?

there are multiple levels where things can go wrong and have gone wrong
1. Camera malfunction
2. wiring (coaxial)
3. harness
4. video control module
It may take them weeks to figure out the problem. For me, they replaced the camera, problem persisted. They then brought the car in, waited for the GM field service engineer, then went down the wiring a foot at a time, testing each connection point, until they found the pinched wire. If the camera is not acting up when you take it in, or consistently, they may never find the problem. This took me over 3 months to finally fix the problem
