Sorry but the 458 spider mechanism is bullet proof. The top maker also supplies McLaren, Audi, etc. Its what they specialize in.

Most likely if their are problems they come from poor installation.

Sir that is normal function. 17 seconds for the full cycle. when it pauses release the button. this is when you are able to service it. Engine oil level check or fill.

Worked fine the next two times I drove the car BUT today was the worst yet. After multiple attempts, turning car off/opening door, I got the top down. However that is where she is now lol. When I try to put it up, the cover flips up but the top doesn’t even try to move.
