C8 maintaining with CTEK
I used the alligator clips with the CTEK to maintain my SS Camaro. In advance of receiving my C8, I bought the CTEK cigarette adapter. It came with a
red doohickey on the end. Do I need this thing to charge the C8?? Thanks, I'm almost 10 months into my wait!

I will have to try it again. First attempt it would not seat in the receptacle. Been working without it.
Just put the red plastic piece back on. Must have screwed up the first time. Fits properly and seats in receptacle. Charge is working properly.

That red adapter definitely belongs on the end of the plug. It protects the other set of contacts that are in the wrong place for your Corvette. When the red adapter is installed there are only two negative contacts showing on the plug. If you remove it there are four. I don't know if that matters, but it definitely fits correctly with the red adapter installed.
