It is always your choice if want to invest in a tow hook but you should buy dollies also. One is no good without the other. You have room for golf bags you have room for dollies.
Tow drivers often have dollies, but not tow hooks.
Going nautical with that marine hardware from Deadliest Catch 😎
I fear that some of the eyebolts you find cheap on ebay will not have a sufficient diameter to properly accept the tow hook. My set up for $50 is large enough and has a 4 ton dead lift rating
I think the need for a tow hook has been made clear and the major reason for one is to put it on when you go to Cars and Coffee to be different.
They are butt ugly, in plain steel or in a color of your choice, I hope I never have to see my car with my tow hook protruding from either end. It stays in the frunk.
Fit just fine. A bit long and heavy, but should work fine. Just stuck it in my glove box as insurance.
That will work as long as it's a perfectly straight on pull by the winch. With THAT amount of length I think the slightest amount of side load in any direction will snap it like a tooth pick.

Last October I purchased a tow hook for my C8 so I could put it in my enclosed trailer. I quickly relized two things. 1) the car needed to be running and 2) the floor mounted winch was actually pulling the car upwards about halfway in. Instead of chancing damage I went with the roof off driver in method and the tow hook has a permeant home ( I hope ) in the frunk.

Took my 2017 Grand Sport to one show when it was new. Brought a few things like a hokey tow hook with remove before flight tag! Usually take my street rod that cried when I pulled into to the garage with a trophy that wasn't hers!
This year went to one show and took the C8 but only put my 1953 white Vette model in the engine compartment with text saying Zora Duntov wanted an ME in 1953.
Grand Sport went to one show! Used model of 1953 Corvette and mentioned body was made in Ashtabula OH where I lived for 7 years.
Added Hokey Tag for Tow Hook- Silly But Kids Like It!
Street Rod Cried When I Pulled Into The Garage!
Brought C8 To A Show And Just Put 1953 Model in Engine Compartment Mentioning Zora Duntov Wanted a ME Vette From When He Came To Work For GM in 1953! Used This Pic Showing Zora Winning His Class in 1954 in an ME Porsche While Working for GM!
If there is a loss of vehicle battery power and the car will not run even with a jump, there is a DT-52388 manual park release tool which can used to shift the transmission to Neutral and move the vehicle. Due to spring pressure, the tool must be applied to the release lever and held in the release position while moving the vehicle. The manual park release is located on the right side of the transmission and can be accessed through the trunk, after disassembly.
Newbie here, if it's in N is it ok to tow with rear wheels on the ground?, anything else I should know about when watching the tow guy tow the C8?

Which 25 bucks ones do you guys have? it surely beats one 4x the price!!
