I believe I have read every thread that even mentions Amplify Orange so I am not posting this blindly. I also realize I am asking a question that cannot be truly answered but the insights I gain from comments others make often bring insight I did not expect. Here is the situation. After I saw Sebring Orange I decided that was going to be the color for me. I like the color as well as the metallic brilliance that it had in the sunshine. I suspect I will have an allocation around October. I may need to make a color decision before even seeing a photo of a car with AO. I realize nobody has seen AO on a car but we at least have seen some photos that provide an indication of the differences.
For those that are so excited about AO, what is it that makes you like the color? Was it that you don't like metallics or perhaps the SO was too dark or red and not orange enough. Perhaps you believe the color will be similar to another car that you really like such as a McLaren.
I was on the fence about color choice because when I placed my order, I hadn't seen a SINGLE C8 in real life anywhere. I ordered Sebring Orange for a couple reasons:
1) Red - everybody gets red. I like it, but it's too common. Red with a tan interior, seems too much like you are saying "I wish I had a Ferrari, but instead I got this C8".
2) Black - just about every car I have purchased since 1987 has been black. black IROC Z28, black truck, black SUV, black crossover, black mustang GT, etc. I am DONE with black. It's too much of a PITA to maintain. Looks incredibly awesome, for a short while... I think I would have to get self healing Xpel + ceramic if i was going to get black. It's also brutal in florida heat.
3) White/Grey/Earth tones - too basic I think. Not much pop in their appearance for me.
4) Accelerate Yellow/Blue - too MUCH pop in their appearance for me. These are electrifyingly bright. The blue matches some lamborghini colors pretty close too. Seem closer to supercar colors to me though. You will definitely get attention in these colors, I get a lot of attention in the sebring orange. More than I was expecting.
5) So that left some of the darker reds, red mist, elkhart blue, and sebring. I think the sebring orange sometimes looks almost like a red, in other lighting VERY orange. It seems to change character somehow based on lighting and angles. Some cameras produce pictures that show it VERY RED, others orange. It's weird. I have been told by the chevy dealer that the paint is difficult to match if the vehicle requires body shop work, Not sure if that is true, but that is what the C8 tech told me. I heard they were cancelling sebring orange and this news came out 1 month before my order was placed so I had to choose quickly and I decided since it is a RARE color choice by comparison that it might make the resale value a little higher for someone that really wanted this color choice and missed the boat.
After receiving the car, have to say I am happy with it which is all that matters. I have no idea what accelerate orange is going to look like.

I feel really sorry for the people who may have ordered Sebring Orange with June allocations that got canned. Same for the Zeus Bronze. Dog bless
A flat orange just doesn’t do something as angular as the C8 any justice. McClarens and Lamborghinis that are really curvy look just fine with that flat orange. Seems like something special got taken away for no good reason. Even if Sebring Orange wasn’t someone’s color of choice, I believe that they could appreciate it.
I’m going to order amplify orange. I like that it isn’t a metallic color. A more modern color similar to rapid blue, but orange. Since your order isn’t going into until October, I’m sure you’ll at least be able to see pictures of an entire car in Amplify before you have to choose.

Originally they said it was cancelled and could ONLY be ordered with the Z06 (or at least this was the rumor). I guess with the Z06 super delayed now, the new configurator is letting you build a spec with accelerate orange for the base model C8.
I will have a deposit down for the Z06 shortly, and will wait 2-3 years probably before it arrives, haha! Gives me enough time to hopefully see an accelerate orange in person to decide if I want to stick with the orange color, or go with something else.
This color is great, and just the right orange to me and with the metallic works well with the 'carbon flash' and its metallic. I don't see too much red at all in it personally or much at all (U of Florida Gator so right color to me). I saw the car at the early previews in the Sebring O and knew that was it. I wanted a 20 to go with my 60 vette but its white with red coves so should have done white with red interior. But after seeing the real car and with the silver/light grey interior seats...sold. The car looks great in orange but to my comment on the matching the carbon flash on the black parts...i'm glad i have the now rare orange. You will be happy with it in the new color I think. It brings out the shape/lines well as the right balance of lightness of paint, not too dark, not too light.

I’m sure you certainly will. Worst case Ontario there will be a plethora of pictures available by the time you get your allocation. I’m sad that all the “official” images Chevy put up for the new colors are just photoshopped versions of old catalog and order guide pictures. But if they’re at least semi accurate, then it looks like it will be the same color as Sebring orange in bright natural sunlight, just no metallic and not inherently as dark.

I was one of the ones who was bumped off the SO (pumpkin) train.
I wanted to keep the SO / black accents theme so I flipped them instead of waiting until the dead of winter to get the car.
The car is built (on July 1st) and is on a train (not to Georgia I hope) somewhere.
Soon; very soon.

Is there anyone who has a Corvette who WOULDN'T want a brand new Ferrari instead, regardless of their Corvette color combo? Money aside, of course.
😁
I'll be glad when I can see the new orange in person. Then I can really compare the difference. What is the production date they are going to start the new colors?

I believe MY22 starts at the end of September. Not sure when the new colors will roll off the line.
I saw the painted AO fender at NCM a couple of weeks ago. It didn't do much for me, but it was indoors, so outdoors may be completely different. I'm a big fan of metallic paints in general, though.

I am a fan of metallic paint as well. However, my taste is slowly changing. I bought a Toyota Tacoma in Dessert Sand which is non-metallic light brown. The Toyota Cement looks good to me which almost looks like primer. They only look good to me because of the black accents on the off-road version of the truck. I suspect the AO will have a similar appeal with the C8 black accents. I also like red and the Sebring Orange was just incredible to me. I am really torn. I saw Red Mist in person and that looked too maroon for me so I may end up with Torch Red. I was just hoping to do something a little different. I will have the car shipped to me from the dealer and I sure don't want to be disappointed when it gets pulled off the truck and I see AO in person for the first time. What a first world problem
I'm between 3 colors, the new orange, white with a gray stripe and interior, or new gray with red interior. I too like metallic. A friend of mine has the SO and said it's been a magnet for police (unnecessarily) stopping him. His previous car was a C7 Z06 in silver and never got stopped. He is a pretty conservative driver and rarely speeds. We're blessed having choices.

Single data points are not proof of anything, but 3 years with a commuter/daily driver Sebring Orange C7 and zero stops. The so-called studies of available data (Google it) show white and silver as the most stopped vehicles. LEOs laugh at the notion that they stop red and other flashy colors more than others. Lastly, the most stopped vehicles are mundane people movers. Sports cars are conspicuously absent from the top of the list.
