One of the reasons I’m getting an HTC is I really dislike the Coupe’s rear window. When I first saw it 2 years ago I was reminded of a superhero costume breastplate and I can’t unsee that.

Major improvement, OP

I do not under stand, you can see the engine thru rear hatch glass, wouldnt tinting the glass restrict some of that ?

I had my window behind the seats tinted, really cut down on glare but left the rear hatch window alone. It appears darker with less light coming thru from inside the car.

This just goes to show that people have different tastes
The coupe rear window reminds me of the Transformers Autobot insignia, and I actually like that it's different and not straight across like most other cars. So much so that when I had my roof covered in black PPF, I purposely left that area uncovered to preserve the distinctive shape of the window at the top. To me, it's one of the instantly recognizable features of the C8 that I wanted to keep.

So THAT’s where I saw it

Looks great, but honestly, I wasn't sure what you had done either. Maybe you should have posted before and after pictures together.

Until you showed the before picture, I was trying to figure out what changed, too.

Now that I see, I actually think the OP is right. It does look better with the white car. Probably wouldn't be as noticeable on a darker color.

Thats why black cars look so good, everything is black. I have fetish for black cars and had more black cars than people have cars in entirety. I just got tired of the detail work just to wash a black car, worse yet polishing a black car. If corvette or Gm had offered a black metallic which they already have (carbon Flash) I would have got it and not switched to white on my last 3 cars. Black metallic is so much easier to maintain and blemishes , dust, polish marks etc are not as noticeable.

I would suggest getting a black car ceramic coated, keeps majority of swirls out and makes detailing a breeze. I have all my cars and rv done, the C8 looks amazing in black.

I wrapped my roof and it cleaned up the lines of the roof and hatch..

Disregard my homes roof angle in the glass lol.
