In the morning or when I’m ready to leave my office I start the car with my remote. Well today it didn’t start from my office. I thought maybe I didn’t hold down the button long enough. I walked outside right next to the car it still didn’t work. I’ve tried several times since still doesn’t work and the engine light is on in the car but no message. Car starts fine once I get in the car. .. Wierd. Anyone else have this happen?

Thanks for the info. That's what it is. I got a text 2 days ago from OnStar about my cars Emissions System saying if I continue to drive I'll get reduced fuel economy and to take it in for service. I called my dealer. My service guy said that OnStar is a bit overzealous with stuff like this. He asked if I got any kind of warning or alert from the car which I did not. Yesterday I noticed the engine light on but no specific waring or message from the car saying to take it in. I will call the dealer today and try to figure out how to clear the CEL
Mine stopped working with none of the reasons above being the cause. Does it require a current subscription to On Star? I let mine expire after the "free" introductory offer last year.

Just the remote on the app. The remote button on the key always works.
My problem is the car says no FOB when I'm holding the FOB. The dealer said the issue is the FOB receiver is bad and without it working, the car won't see the FOB and thus won't start. The part is discontinued, there's no replacement. I've reached out to every Corvette parts company and scrap yard, no luck. I own the world's largest paperweight. I can't believe GM screwed us this way. I'm done with GM.

A CEL means you should use a code reader to see what DTC is stored. There is not always a written message on the DIC. Be sure to read the code BEFORE the CEL is cleared.

This is F*cked up!! I'd be livid and in the dealers/GM's face until it got resolved!

I see from your profile that you list your car as a 2012 C6 Grand Sport. Thus, I'm not surprised a part has been discontinued. Try the C6 section, and you may find a work-around fix.
It is often inaccurately stated that manufacturers must make spare parts available for 10 years, but that is a myth. The only federal requirement is that parts must be available throughout the period of time any manufacturer warranty is in effect.
