I put $500 down to be on the waitlist at Stingray. I found out this morning I am about #500 on said waitlist. This morning I went to a local dealer and got an Order Workbench done with the GM. I am #16 on the waitlist with them. I'm most likely going to pull my deposit at Stingray Chevy and go local.
Update me when you know. I got on a local one with 30 but Ciocca will beat that one by far. Ask the local guy how many 2021s they sold. They may only get 5 a year. If Stingray's is refundable sit on it.

That's the plan.... local is quoting me 6 months.... so we shall see!
I started a thread looking for 2022 orders but did it under Ciocca's name. I'd like to capture data from all dealers. Here is my spread sheet, please post your Dealer, date of 1st Deposit of the date you went on their wait list if they have no deposit required, your Wait List number if the dealer has one, the date of your second deposit or formal order, and your 3000 date and your TPW. See the spread sheet to see what I'm trying to do.
I will update the daily spread sheet here to make it easier to track. Check your data to make sure I've got it right. There are 50 on the list as of 8/11, The date of the last update is at the top of the sheet.
9/23 lots of status updates again up to 200 buyers. Column K is Day from Order to TPW from 5 to 55 with an average around 30. There seemed to be alot of questions today. The best I can figure out is that it has something to do with what you order and parts availability.
For the spreadsheet. VIN 1727 confirmed built 9/23 and at status 4000. Yea! Almost time to break into celebration.
My Corvette has not been built yet and mistakenly listed as built 9/23. The TPW is correct 9/27 with a VIN OF 2574. I believe today I am listed at line 96

A very nice chat with Dave this afternoon, and again I just have to say he is on of the good guys, and answers all my questions. . The best in this industry I've ever met. The #1 Corvette salesmen but he doesn't toot his horn, like so many others.
First he understand he has a communications problem and is working on hiring staff to solve it. I an no different than any of you, so I pointed out some big holes just from my personal experience. He's is goin to look at my MailChimp dummy Wait List News flyer I sent him. First in his 20++ years and all the Corvette generations he has never seem anything like the "Feeding Frenzy" with the C8. Even GMs time from 3000 to TPW used to be predictable, but not now
He really explained the current allocation process to me in details. GM usually sends out allocations twice a month for all cars. On the second and forth Thursday (Oct 7th) they ask the dealers how many allocations they want, (Consensus in his article) Equinox's, Blazer's, .....,Corvette's....... But now for Corvettes GM only asks for wants once a month, the first Thursday. (Oct 7th next). Then Saturday the 9th the allocations will come out to the dealers. They have till the following Saturday (7 days) to get them in the system with any adjustments by the following Tuesday. If allocations aren't taken buy Saturday night they are lost. This last cycle because of their Toys For Tots they couldn't get 100 in so they just but 100 1lt Torch Red C8s in. Then on Monday & Tuesday fixed them. An interesting side point as to other dealers loosing an allocation or ordering a floor car. Floor cars fall behind sold cars in production then act as a negate toward a dealers future allocations so that's why they might just let a allocation go. Dave said for the Consensus he'll ask for 200 C8 allocations and last time got the 297. My guess he is limited by how many C8s his Techs can prep in a month, along with Dealer installed options and the normal Warranty and service work they have to do.
So those of us with a 2300 to 2500 maybe more, just hold your breath till Oct 9th to Oct 13th and keep you phones handy you should be getting "The Call"
There were a few 2022s on the lot, not many, but got to confirm I wanted the 2022 small spoiler and the Black & Tan seats. I'm ready!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! I didn't see any Hypersonic Gray to photo just the IMSA models.
Deposit placed with Criswell on 18 August 2020. Car arrived at dealership on 9/23/21...13+ months later. Rather than a 2021 its a 2022 with a
$2500 price increase. 2022 vin #54.
