NPP is really the only "must have" and the car would seem like an odd ball without.
Many of people are replacing the NPP with aftermarket exhausts. I have seen some people indicating that even the NPP does not sound aggressive enough (I’m not one of them).
So, I would qualify that statement as, perhaps, a must have for those that don’t want an aftermarket exhaust or want adjustability of the exhaust sound.
Placed my order yesterday for a 2022 2LT Z51 HTC at a smallish local dealer who usually receives 10-12 cars a year. At order I was told I was #7 on the list, but they called back last night and said I was really #3 because the others were in-line for the Z06. For those of you who have your cars already, what are the "must haves" as opposed to the "don't bothers". Looks like we may have to firm this order up a lot faster than I originally figured.

Ok yeah, that's one thing that's nice. But honestly look at this list and tell me all this crap makes any real difference:..
I think it does make a difference, though I think the cost of the package is high, and some of the features should be included in the base model. Nonetheless, compared to its competition, even with the added cost of the 2LT package, the Stingray is an incredible value. Below are the features I like and use:
Head-Up Display
Wireless Phone Charging (I have not noticed it being slow)
Vented Seats (they do not move a lot of air, but do move some, which is nice when driving with the top down on a hot day)
SiriusXM Satellite Radio (I use it, but it is not that important - I also use the Spotify App)
Universal Home Remote Sun Visor (I have a CTS without it, and it is an annoyance to constantly be opening the center console to grab my garage door opener - this definitely should be included in the 1LT) Memory Package (nice for when I jump in after my wife has been driving it - we have our own key fobs and it automatically adjusts based on the key fob it detects)
Curb View Camera (nice to pull up to curb stops and avoid hitting them)
Side Blind Zone Alert (should also be in the 1LT - the blind spots in the Stingray are significant and sometimes you just don't see a car that is there, especially on I-95)
Parcel Nets (could probably be found in the aftermarket - the Velcro close sleeves in the frunk are great for holding tools)
For those who live in a cold climate, I'm sure the heated seats and steering wheel would be nice, but I live south of the south and will rarely use them. I might use them in January, or when we venture north in the C8.
For me the Must Have’s are related to stages of my life. Early on manual, convertible, skittle color, other options didn’t make a difference.
My order for the C8: Ceramic Matrix, Performance Exhaust, Magnetic Ride, Mud Flaps, 2LT and black interior so I don’t mess it up.
For me, the only thing in that package that's a 'must-have' is the rear view camera, and the convertible takes care of that.
I have a 1LT HTC and the rear view camera for the mirror is a POS and is not necessary if you know anything close about how to drive a car with properly adjusted mirrors imho

the beauty of the situation right now is if you are ordering the car you pick exactly what you want and can afford.

One of the 2LT features I have on my C7 is the front curbview camera through the PDR. It's one of the few features I use everytime I drive, and feels like I would miss on a 1LT C8. Without making statements like "learn how to drive!" I'm wondering if others feel the same... it has prevented me from hitting a curbstop ever in my C7 and is a prime reason why I want 2LT in my C8. (Note I have seen no effective or integrated substitutes aftermarket).
The rear camera works perfectly; human eyes have great difficulty to focus at infinity, then quickly at 14" and then back to infinity rapidly. The regular mirror allows one to focus at infinity constantly. Well adjusted side mirrors with, perhaps, convex implants, do the trick perfectly for seeing everything to your side and behind.
I've trained my eyes to see 3D images as part of my profession without the use of aids such as red cyan glasses, polarized viewing aids or photogrammetric stereoscopes (ie. focusing closely without crossing the eyes) but many if not most just can't do that.
The electronic mirror is actually a mini closed circuit TV screen that needs near focusing after looking at infinity elsewhere. The human eye is just slow at doing this well.
I am near sighted, so I wear glasses when I drive. They work for long distance, but make things up close blurry, including the display. I tilt my head down to look over the top of my glasses, and that works.
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
