Oops I have a 3 model year old C8 that can be sold for more than I paid for it. Been driving it - when I want to. And what do have? No C8 yet.
Hopefully that trend will continue. Truth be told I would have been thrilled to get a 2021 a few months ago rather than waiting.
Since I ended up getting bumped to a 22 the extra cost doesn’t faze me for a few reasons. First I’m in the first 22 group. Second I have the option of the lower rear spoiler at a great price and third the 2022 has some updates that the previous models don’t.
After being really disappointed when my 21 was canceled I have accepted it and have convinced myself it’s all for the better.
No matter what just having a C8 no matter the year is very special at this time.
In a couple years the 2022 will be preferred over the 2021 and it will show in resale value.
I dont see that to be the case anymore really. Maybe a difference of $500-1000 tops for MY. Biggee factor is mileage. A 2021 with 5k miles will sell higher than a 22 with 15k.
Since these cars aren't changing MY to MY, why even have model year designation? The 2022 just behind the 2021 on the assembly line only differs by a couple digits in the serial number.

I so love Fake News:
First- It is only one position, not many
Second - It is a character not a digit(s)
And Age matters - Look in the mirror, You are not 20 anymore!
