Just my opinion but I think it’s poser. Like you bought a Vette, but only because you couldn’t afford the car you really wanted or you wanted to fool people into thinking you have some other exotic. That’s just the impression I get when I see stuff like that.
Some cars I debadge, some not. Just what I think looks best. I’m considering debadging the rear only on my C8 because I think the letters look “busy”. Also considering wrapping the roof of my coupe gloss black as I like the look of the convertibles. Just personal preference….
The pictures are definitely convincing me the rear of the car looks better without the letters…. I think the rear view of the car is the weakest part of the overall design… it’s too busy, too abrupt…. The side view is amazing, front is good, rear ok but again very busy. Removing the letters just cleans up the design a bit…
DE badging does not look good in my opinion, Like another person mentioned , Looks like you are trying to fool someone or the none car people into making them think the car is a Ferrari or some exotic! Plus, I don't see Lambos,Porsches and Ferraris driving arround debadged!
I think any C8 looks beautiful the way it is, I don't even like the high spoiler on a C8, I prefer the low Z06 style one the most, or even no spoiler!

Also not a fan of the wing, of any height because the rear of car is too busy to begin with. A multi strut wing just add to effect. I went the “low profile” Z51 spoiler for a hopefully cleaner look. Which is the same reason I want to debadge the rear. It just looks that cleaner…
One reason, it's $295 dollar option. And that's crazy. And it's hardly the same as chrome wheels.
I guess I have to see it in person, some chrome looks cheap, Never know! It might look good in person but generally speaking not into anything chrome on a C8.
To me chrome looks cheaper and dated nowadays. This is all pointless debate when it's purely opinion with no objectivity at all. Whether Carbon Flash or chrome, everyone knows modern emblems are made of plastic and not metal. Been that way for decades and literally generations of demographic age groups. For me and most of the world's living population, it's been that way since the day we were born. We associate chrome badges with cheap plastic just the same.
I think chrome emblems don't look that out of place on a white or silver car because they're in the same general range on the chromatic spectrum so it's a color coordination thing. But chrome looks tacky on modern bold sports car colors. Especially on the oranges, yellows, Rapid Blue, Hypersonic, Sea Wolf... all the edgy colors. But chrome can work either way with more traditional legacy colors like Torch or Elkhart Lake because the relevance of those tones on sports cars have endured over the decades. But because the C8 has a modern shape, CF badges work on every color whereas chrome only on some. The 1958 C1 is notorious for going particularly heavy on chrome trim. Unpopular to some but I like it... for that era of automobile. But on a modern supercar-like sports car? That's the wrong era for chrome (to me).
