I have a set of Elite Engineering jacking pucks from my C6 days.
I just went out and tried them on the C8. They fit the slot and are only 2.5 inches in diameter. They just are loose vertically once inserted. But do fit flush when pushed up.
. I assume I can jack on them without a problem.

Yep, most of mine are loose vertically. No issue. Glad you said they were 2 1/2 inch diameter as my C6 jack pads were 3 inches so bought new ones for my C7's. Elite are less expensive than the 1 inch and 2 inch high Katech aluminum I have. But could not find the diameter on their website. Bought a 1 inch Katech pad to fit my low profile jack. Both have more than doubled in price. I'll recommend the Elite as I get PMs and posts asking!
FWIW, GM oval slots are not all perfect. Can see I had to grind the sides of two of my 2 inch high Katech pads to fit my C7 Grand Sport!
Bought a 1 inch high Katech jack pad to fit my long reach low profile jack. It's heavy, 90 lbs, and was not rolling into the car when lifted. I welded on a rim to the jack saddle! It helps pull the jack in and keeps the jack pad on the jack saddle! The 1 Inch high pad gives all the vertical clearence needed.
I installed permanent ones held in tightly with allen screws. That way if I get a flat in an area that the service department has no idea where the jack up points are. They are about one inch and do not affect car clearance.
