whoever bought that, checked all the options, no doubt. And now they're selling it?
I'm friends with dealer and can get it for MSRP but don't want to take huge loss after paying sales tax and such. So I was seeing what kind of outlet I'd have to enjoy a short time before winter and then sell prior to then if I got a good offer.
So crazy. $30k over MSRP I guess leaves you a lot of room to sell used. Maybe no one will see used for awhile so you can sell for over. That is what I'm trying to figure out my gamble on...how long they will stay at MSRP or over
Back in 2014 for the C7 just to see how much it was if I checked all of the highest boxes. It came to $100K. So being the C8 base is starting over $60 I see it going over $100K no problem if the right boxes were checked.

The way things look right now, I would say you would be fine playing with it for 6 months and selling at nearly breakeven or better. BUT, there is no guarantee. The C8 market is like musical chairs, and no one knows when the music will stop. Yes, all the dealers have long lines of deposits waiting for an allocation, but how many of those are duplicate or more orders? It could be sooner than anyone expects that dealers start advertising they will order at MSRP and have current allocations available. The day that happens, the used market will tank. People playing the flipping game will go from asking $10k+ over to $10k+ under in a matter of weeks. You don't want to be the guy getting ready to put one up for sale when that happens.
If prices for Z06's stay above msrp, new or used, I believe prices for regular C8's will stay strong, and above msrp, for a couple more years. After all, base C8's acquired at msrp, which can't exactly be described as "barebones, stripped" cars, are cheaper than most tarted up pick-up trucks, likely everything from Porsche, any performance Mercedes, Audi or BMW and everything from Lamborghini, Ferrari, Maserati, NSX, McLaren, etc.
I did not pull trigger. Seemed too risky but unbelievable the pricing. I could have listed this much lower than what is available and still made money.
Have another opportunity for a 2LT HTC for $81k I'm thinking about. No z51 though. Is z51 a deal killer for most?
My 2020 is Z51. My upcoming 2022 has the same power with the optional exhaust and magnetic ride, but much cheaper. If you have track days in mind, spring for the Z51.
