I'm speaking specifically to Android Auto wireless users and the link between your cell phone and your 2021 C8:
You may have noticed and maybe not that the sound quality seems less than Satellite Radio on Android Auto. It actually should sound about 10 times better than Satellite. I found an off-and-on issue and have a fix as to why. You know that when you hear music playing from your cellphone to Android Auto, there are actually 2 options for adjusting the equalizer settings. The one on the C8 head unit and the one EQ sound on your phone. TURN off on your phone the "custom" setting for the EQ. Pick the preselected "rock, pop, classic, or jazz on your phone settings under settings, sounds, and vibration, sound quality, and effects, equalizer. Seems if you have selected and created a "custom" EQ setting Android Auto has a sync issue and will only allow half the power of the system to make it to the head unit on the C8.
I drove 1500 miles so far and just figured there has to be something wrong, this was it. Satellite Sirius is crap sounding to the ear since we are receiving 280 digital super compressed packets that our head units uncompress. Lows bad and highs bad mid-range sound not too bad, as you'd hear on talk radio. Talk radio doesn't know highs or lows. Help this helps some of us, and for all I know, Apple application and 2020 C8's could also have the same problem.
I'm part of the BETA program for Android Auto and will report this to the developer soon enough. Many good things coming to Android/Apple Auto soon.

So you're saying you should select on e of the rock, pop, classical or jazz options and not just leave the equalizer on "normal" as I have been doing?
Good info for those into the music. I turn it off myself, but I'm a curmudgeon that likes to hear what the car is doing, shrug.
Ya I hear ya, and have to admit driving around with music on comes secondary to hearing the music coming from the exhaust and motor of the C8. I just have to have ALL electronics working to their optimum performance no matter what type of electronics at all times. Broken things and I, don't get along too well.
A good test as to whether or not your Android/Apple Carplay is working properly, if you look at the volume on the bottom right of your instrument cluster, about 1/3 to 1/2 volume will be just about as loud as one would want it. It's real loud at 1/2, and with the C8 adjustment EQ bass 3/4 mid 50% and Treble at almost max, this system sounds amazing.
