Default Current allocation cycle

Spoke with my dealer last Wednesday and got some great news — they have an allocation for me! So I submitted my order.

Well I’ve been checking with Chevy chat since then and each time, I see my order is still at 1100.

I reached out to my dealer on Saturday asking why I’m not at 2000, and they said my order should be updated next week (now this week) as the cycle closes.

1. Is this consistent with y’all’s understanding of how allocations work?

2. When this week would you expect the cycle to close?

Yes, sounds right. He found out last week his consensus which told him he would be able to place an order this Thursday.

1100 means you are entered in the GM Workbench system, have a number and you will not move to 2000 until your dealer gets an allocation/order to match up with your Workbench Number. When you get to 2000 (Order accepted by GM) it is gold and you will start moving through the build process.

Yeah, well understood. I was assured that my order was being paired with an allocation, so I didn’t quite understand why I’m not at 2000. Dealer said sometime this week I will move to 2000 when the “cycle closes”.

After digging around on the forum it seems like most people go to 2000 right when their allocation-paired order is submitted. So I started this post to see if my dealer is shooting straight with me.

Hoping this is not the case. We’ll see by the end of the week.

I think @imaposer is correct above. I recall the order entry for the allocation was due on the system by 3rd or 4th Thursday of the month. The 2000 would be next day or Monday following. 3000 would be within the week period after 2000.
