Thanks
I have no idea who activated it. My salesman contacted me days ago to go over extended warranty, financing info and whether or not I wanted OnStar. I told him I did and he mentioned downloading the app. As I was messing around on the app I didn’t expect it would work but here I am watching my car get closer to home :-)

We can confirm that Bowling Green Assembly is not running second shift production this week October 25 or next week November 1 due to a temporary parts supply issue. Although we are not providing specifics regarding the material shortage, we can say it is not related to the global semiconductor chip issue.

Importantly, GM’s supply chain, manufacturing and engineering teams are working closely with our supply base to mitigate any further impact on production. We expect the plant to resume normal operations on Monday, November 8.

What was the source of the news release and when was it released?

Hint of good news in the GM statement.

John58’s info has (sadly) been spot-on. No doubt GM are working furiously on the potential ECM outage he learned about — their statement makes me think they are less pessimistic than John58’s source(s).

Wishful thinking? We’ll see.

For those of us so close to getting our C8’s, every clue takes on way too much significance

“On further review”: Apologies to John58. GM statement could well be consistent with delivering 2LTs and 3LTs without the heated steering wheels and seats until ECMs are available and shipped to dealers for retrofitting and reflash. Works for me!

As the sole guy with a 11/22 TPW, this latest news is a real blow to the gut.

And I got that late TPW well before any supply issues we’re on the radar back in Sept… no idea what specifically in my build caused it to be bumped so far down the line… it’s 2LT, Z51, magride w/ front lift, seems pretty par for the course?

The only thing I can think of is that it’s a Canadian order, but even then half of the Sept allocations at my dealer have had much earlier TPWs… I just want it in my garage before the snow falls !

Today is the day! Taking delivery of my 2022 after an initial deposit on August 31, 2020. That's 425 days, or 60 weeks and 5 days, or 13 months and 30 days! Never thought I could wait that long for a car. But, this is my first Corvette (after a history of Camaros and one Mustang), and I'm ready to move up to the big leagues!
I got a little preview last night when I found her on the lot in the rain. Wow! Does she ever look awesome! I'm so happy with my option choices and that we all have the options available to spec our Vettes just the way we want them.
I'll just have to wait another week or so for it to ship back to Colorado...of course she's going right in to the detailer for Xpel and Ceramic so I'll have yet another week or so to wait after that. I've waited this long, I can wait just a bit longer for the final steps, and then on to a long life together!

I just paid for the Onstar service. It's $140 plus tax, for a year. The salesman activate the service. I'm waiting for the instructions.
