Picked up my Amplify orange C8 from Classic in Sugarland on Oct 23, but was busy to make her pretty. Replaced the silver wheels with black trident. Installed PPF and windows tint with Houston PPF and four layers of ceramic coating by Brent Collins of Active Auto Detailing. Brent is a corvette owner himself, so he treats your c8 like his. If you are in Houston and need ceramic coating, give him a call.

Rockets, what % tint did you go with?

Thanks

Mine was ordered 9/16, on 10/9 went 3300 - TPW 10/25, and now shows "DELAYED", w/no TPW. Dealer told me I know more than they do.

You know your VIN? There's a spreadsheet that would help you figure out when it was/will be built.

The Concierge just emailed me and said that it was produced last week - code 4000, and should ship this week. The dealer was completely in the dark.

Great news indeed!

As an FYI, the thread is about those that received an allocation in September. So you are either an October or November allocation. I know there is a thread for October allocations, not sure if there is one yet for November.

With the order already having been sequenced, the TPW will not change to reflect the delay. BGAP is working a single shift again this week, so I would expect all builds to be delayed by approximately a week with the reduction in production of last week and this week combined.

I don't think that's right. I think it's probably a data/system issue. @mingo222 said his car was built yesterday (confirmed by Shane), and he was 29th. Mingo, can you confirm?

Shane replied to my email at about 2pm PST that my car was built today, 11/1/. VIN 5685. I hope Shane is correct.

I hope I'm not the only one claiming a build for 11/1. This is Shane's email. I don't want to be the rumor mill. VIN 5685.

That's hardly a rumor

But I do think it's good evidence that the data or system is wrong, which is pretty important info for a lot of us! (And kept me from having a heart attack this morning!)

And FYI, you're the only one I saw with a VIN in the projected range for yesterday, so I don't know of anyone else available to support/refute your experience. So it's all on you :P

Default Has this ever been considered?

I get it. We rely on a single source for data and his source is well protected (understandably). After all, he did say "None showing" today. Computer glitches and human omissions are not new.

So, it is widely recognized that Shane and Lori are THEE reputable source for data. Has anyone approached the NCM Management to allow either of them to be the single source to the community? Perhaps even become a forum member and simply post a new set of numbers directly here? or another forum. Somewhere.

Maybe they could have a "One-Way" message? They can only send but not receive messages (to protect them from an onslaught)

I feel like that could do more harm than good, as it opens the door for them to say "Wait, production numbers are getting out? We have to shut that down!" I'd rather have what we have than risk having nothing, personally.

I'm only sharing my email with the group. Let's hope there were builds yesterday and it doesn't change people's plans.
