Have had mine for 2 wks. now and just love her..Got the convertable. So much to learn but getting there...
Is anyone having trouble getting the mobil 1 0-40w oil??
I wanted to have a quart or two around just in case but none of the store i have tried have it...The have the european bleand not the esp .
I found it on amazon but have to order 6 to avoid a heavy shipping cost.
I've had really good luck finding it at Walmart believe it or not.
Just received my 9 quarts from Speedway. Had to spend $100 to get free shipping. So, all I really wanted was a quart or two, but now it looks like I’ll also get a change too.
My walmart said they could not get it but I did find it on amazon ..Buy 6 quarts and get free shiping..It was $69 ...A little over $10 a quart...not bad but I just wanted a quart just in case...

yes, this is what I had to do....none of the brick/morter auto stores had the ESP dexOS 0w-40...Chevrolet dealers will have it. I did buy one quart from them as my initial factory fill was a little low and it was $11.....
I have been ordering from Summit and Rock Auto. Happened to be at my dealership today and asked the parts department what they are getting for a quart and he said $9.20. So If you only want a couple of quarts you might want to just get it from the dealer.
Yep, the dealer for just one....I was just shocked that no one is carrying it...Its been 2 years.
Have any of you had the full transmission and filter change and what did it cost???
I know the filter replacement is free for the first year. I looked up the filter price and it was $150....Could not find how many quarts of transmission fluid this car takes...not even in the manual..Says see dealer..Thats a little scary .............It will take me 3 years to reach that milestone but still would like to know.
I would think that by now some would have reached that 45,000 millage

thanks moscow...Smart people on this site...I was just a little shocked that nothing at all is in the cars manual...just see dealer...Whats the mystery ??
I found the amount used on an accessory site...11.62 liters
Use about 12 quarts @ $25-40 a quart......so $300+ on fluid....filter $150.....labor at dealer??? So at 45,000 miles or 3 years you are looking at min. $450 and labor...Thats a lot to me but I understand I have a $84000 car ..At least for me that will be 3 years
No wonder they do not put that in the manual. I knew a guy back in the 70's that had an xke jag and he told me he spent $300 a month on tune ups..
I am still happy I got this car and am loving her..I am 74 and not real good health so I am enjoying my time and money....

It is available for order from Walmart, but they are charging more than your dealer. I suspect those who found it on the shelves in stores may not have noticed it is the Euro formulation which has been around for many years, and not the Dexos 2 version. There aren't many vehicles that use the C8 spec 0W40 Mobil 1 ESP formulation, and it is more expensive than most anything else, which why it is hard to find in stores
