I personally didn’t want to turn a $60k car into a $90k car, I got a few minor options that seemed like a good value, and ended up around $67k

NPP at $1200, after looking at Borla prices seemed great. Same with wheels, most decent black wheels are about $2-3k, I took the Chevy ones for $995. Most of my options were cosmetic. 1LT gave me all the basic stuff I needed. Sure I’d like heated seats and stuff, but I’d rather just keep the $8k invested or in my bank instead. If they were a standalone option for like $595 I’d probably have added them.

Yes, I realize everyone has their own opinions and things probably have been spoken about 10 times over.Let me describe how I will use the car and we can go from there.

First Topic, Magride:
I live near Philly, PA has absolutely terrible windy old roads. We actually get excited to see new pavement areas... Thus, looking at adding the mag ride. Some say totally worth it and noticeable and others say its not worth the $1800 at all and didnt notice a difference. But for those of you that live in hilly, windy roads that are not taken car of, is mag ride a must?

Second Topic, 1LT vs 2Lt:
Yes talked about a lot. 2LT is what I chose, but i am on the fence of just going 1LT and getting the Vert. I like the dual color options, the blind spot, heads up, and seats functions of the 2lt, but thats about it. Not sure if its worth it to go 2Lt for just that. However, it is a car I Will get rid of for the Z06, number 833 at Ciocca, so need to consider future values and I know 1Lt cars are frowned upon by a lot of buyers, but in 2 years will the 2lt still be worth $7k more than a 1lt? Not sure.

Third topic, NPP exhaust vs aftermarket:
I have ZERO need for the Z51, so not getting that, however deciding on the NPP still. I like the new MBRP exhaust and its about $1,600. I anticipate will only go down in price. However, it has no valves, not that the base exhaust comes with them anyways. But I thought it would be good to get the NPP to get the valves and live with it until they make a cheaper valved aftermarket exaust. Anyone add the NPP and thought it was worth it?

Forth and Final Topic: Wheels
I went with the Grey Trident wheels but am thinking of just keeping the stock ones to save $1500. More and more wheels are coming out and getting cheaper. I figure I can prob get $700 for just the rims on the base or, have them powder coated whatever color I want and save the $1500. So, just not sure yet. No, I will not buy a set of $4k rims... not worth it to me.
Mag ride yes, NPP yes, wheels after market

This is my thinking too. I am a rarity - I admit to actually liking the default silver five-spoke wheel, at least I like it enough to not spend money on one of the added-cost GM offerings. I like to change things up later to keep things fresh, and powdercoating for $500 is an easy way to do that down the road.

I hear you, I was in the same boat. It's a hard simple decision, I brooded over it for a while.

I counted the times I tracked my C6Z06 for the time I had it and decided no Z51, I have less time to track it now anyway.

I personally wanted the creature comforts for the 2LT so I opted on it.

The NPP is controllable and no need to tear the car apart to change the exhaust and the labor costs. So NPP for me.

Mag Ride I like the ride of the base, compliant yet sporty enough.

so I'm going the same route as you

No mag, not needed. Yes on 2LT. NPP, nah. Stay with base wheels. Yes to HTC since you saved money on mag and NPP and optional rims.

You seem a bit grouchy. You might want to go to your medicine cabinet and take one of these.

I opted for npp as I didn't want to spend prices on aftermarket.

I did not go 1lt as I wanted all the creature comforts, I didn't order it to get rid of it though.

did not opt for z51(will not track it)

I decided against the mag ride, my c7 didn't have it and it rode just fine to me.

I stuck with the base wheels as I do not like the options from GM, so eventually I'll go aftermarket, when there's a black friday sale or something. No hurry on that.

2lt for obvious reasons. Literally best bang for the buck option on the entire car

aftermarket exhaust. Npp is 1500. Aftermarket can be had for slightly more and sounds way better.

Magride Really depends on user. I personally like every bump on the road. That's how a sports car suppose to feel. If I wanted a luxurious feel I would of went with a Benz or an audi.

wheels I'm going aftermarket too. Same reason as exhaust

As you can see, not much help full info, so far, here. Lots of "what I Have" or "Get this or that"

As to the Mag Ride ... the base suspension is as soft as the mag ride in TOUR Mode. What you will be missing is the Stiffer rides you get in SPORT and RACE modes. The stiffer ride is better for handling on those twisty roads in the mountains. SPORT mode is perfect for those drives and is only available with mag ride.

1or 2 LT ... You need to look at the options included with each on the Chevy web site ad descide if you want al of those or not, none are performance options, all are connivance options.

Wheels .... Oh boy that one is your vision of what a sports car looks like, not what I have or someone else has, Maybe some pictures from this Forum of aftermarket wheels or from the Chevy web site will catch your eye of what your ideal car would be.

NPP .... It makes the exhaust sound louder at idle and when you get on it. It makes the car sound like a Corvette, a rumbling V8 power house.

Remember this is YOUR car, if it is purple, with orange wheels and straight exhaust, great, that is what makes you happy. Don't get the options on your Corvette to please someone else.

I took my first trip to Philly in 2018. I had thought about making it a road trip in my C7 but I flew in and rented a car. Once I got there I couldn't believe how bad the roads were so my vote is get mag ride. I got it because I live in a rural area and I'm thankful for it at times.

I got the 2LT for the two toned GT2 seats and, as someone mentioned, the additional creature comforts. I think that alone will gain you some value when you decide to sell it vs a 1LT.

I had zero need for the Z51 either and I knew that because I had it on my C6 and C7. I did get the performance exhaust because I had Corsa exhaust on my C6 and C7, saw what Corsa was charging for their C8 exhaust, and it just wasn't worth it to me. I don't regret it.

I splurged a little and got the Carbon Flash wheels on my Torch Red C8 to offset the red. I also got the carbon flash mirrors, OEM side skirts, and OEM splash guards. That along with my adrenaline red two toned interior has gotten me a lot of compliments.

I didn't see it mentioned here and may have missed it, but living where you do I would also add the front lift. I use mine a lot more than I thought I would.
