Being very safety conscience......I will only use the GM designated lift points.....I bought the extension for the one I had to reach the lift points then it wouldn't fit under the car without getting the car on some sort of riser....wasn't going that route so I sold the one I had bought the longer to match up with the recommended lifting points without doing something makeshift.
i had the shorter version for my C7. I bought the extensions to work with my C8. Only issue is it is really close to slide under car. I bought a set of Flat Stoppers to drive on 1st (gives you a 1.5" lift (could also build something out of 2x12 with angles on edge I guess). This lets me see exactly where my blocks are hitting (helps with my comfort level)
I hang the extensions side ways on wall to keep out of way

Don't the Flat Stoppers ramps get in the way when you try to slide your Quick Jack in place? Is yours the QJ 5000 SLX?
Was $1480 shipped for the 5000TLX. I was kicking myself for not grabbing the Costco sale. But that would have also needed the extensions. So for just a little more this deal gets the latest model.
Home depot sells the shorter ones ($1300) & the extensions f($200) for about $1500 total but don't show the longer ones on their website. Shipping to store is free, but my extensions took about 10 days to arrive

Lifting a C8 safely is making SURE you are using the REAR lift points. Just look at the pics of cars that fell off of lifts, EVERY single one was lifted too far forward. With the high weight bias in the rear, as long as the car is lifted at the rear lift points, it makes no difference in the least that the front lift is a few inches back. Glad you're happy, but saying it's done for safety sake is implying that those that use the standard length QJ don't care about safety or are unsafe, and that's just not true.
I too sold my 5000SLX - took about a $200 hair cut. Just received new 5000TLX. Slid the rails under my C8 for test fit, and it appeared to be a stretch to reach both lifting points? Perhaps the "radius" swing motion when the QJ are lifted will better center rubber blocks under pucks? Has anyone actually used the 5000TLX and confirmed them to be adequate length? I'd like to know before I do any more unboxing or hydraulic set up in case they need to be returned. Thanks so much for any insight this group can provide.

The specs say it’s same length as getting the extensions on the regular model, which plenty have confirmed the 66” on those is sufficient. It’s also same length as the old EXT model which people say it works.
So at least on paper the new TLX should absolutely should work.
I got my 5000TLX, but it was missing parts so am waiting on those. And also waiting on my car (TPW next week though!).
Quickjack had a 15% off code (SEMA2021) earlier in November that I used to get a 7000TLX. I was surprised when I saw their Black Friday deal was not as good.
With the SLX versions, do what was done in this setup ;put the rubber block under the rear jack point and leave the space at the front of the C8 where there is less mass.
Your exactly correct, I have the 5000 SLX and it works perfect, The weight is in the rear, lifts it no problem at all. You can set jack stands in the front lift points to make it "safer" if you choose, but it is stable
Anyone tried to set 12 in tall Race Ramp Wheel Cribs below tires as safety net when lifted on QJ 5000DLX to highest lift point? Not sure the bottom of the C8 tires get 12+ inches off the ground to accommodate Race Ramp but the safety & soundness configuration sounds sweet!
