Default Storm is a comin'

Central South Carolina is expecting an ice storm later tonight. We get very few of those, maybe one every 5-10 years.

Firewood - check
Generator serviced - check
Sufficient fuel for generator - check
Enough food & water - check
Vehicles gassed up - check
Red wine for sipping by the fire - check
C8 Corvette warm & dry in the garage - DOUBLE CHECK

We're ready...

Just went to Lowes and picked up two bags of ice melt…. Thought about picking up a heater for the garage because I think the car is cold.

Best of luck on the storm.
Supposed to be all rain here in Ma when it arrives.
Enjoy the wine and food.

In the Low Country we're just expecting lots of rain and wind. No snow or ice for the last few years.

Mid-engine design is far better for plowing as the weight is over the the drive wheels.

We're ready...

We'll hope it's over quickly. We're a few miles East of I 95 and supposedly just getting rain, but it's close. Won't be driving until Tuesday.

Thanks for the heads up. By the time it gets to Bean town it should be rain only. We have the day off so I know what I will be driving to the market.

Good luck with the storm. Be safe! Sounds like you are well prepared.

We are expecting 15-20 inches of snow and I’m ready. I prefer snow over freezing rain and ice.

Best of luck - I absolutely hate ice storms.

We got about 3” or so of really wet snow today but it wasn’t too bad to get it cleared off the driveways/sidewalk and the city did a great job clearing the streets.

Don't worry, won't melt. (At least mine hasn't yet).

The day after I got it home.
