I just got my order number on my 2022 Stingray.
Being February, and the cutoff for 22s getting built being in early May, is it realistic to go from order accepted to delivery in 3 months? Or could they spill me into the 23 model year?
If your order was accepted (2000 status) as a '22, then you will get a '22. To stick to production schedule I'm certain at this point that GM will short allocations this and next month so that they start their Z06's on time. A shame for many to be sure, but you're safe.
If your at 3000 now and you don't encounter any unforeseen production issues you will be built in about 5 weeks or less. Mine was 4 weeks and a day from day 1 of 3000 status.
OP, you need to find out what your order status code is. You could just be at 1100 which doesn't guarantee you a 2022 build. If you are at 2000 or beyond, you'll get a 2022 unless they run into production problems (supply chain, weather, strike).

Great, 5 weeks would be awesome. My order was accepted by production control with a 3000 status on 18 Jan 22. I am managing my expectations, yet I hope to have my C8 in mid-March.

GM did not short allocations this month. In fact they were very generous in the amounts they granted two days ago. To assume anything about next month’s allocation level is without factual basis.

Yes, my order went in about 2 1/2 weeks ago and I have a tentative TPW of 3/7.

Not only is it realistic, its highly likely. I’d guess you’ll see it by mid March pending any delays, strikes, tornados, blizzards, hurricanes, sink holes or earthquakes in Bowling Green.
Here was my timeline:
10/5/2020 - 1100 Status for a 2020
(July 1st 1100 Status for a 2022)
9/21/2021 - 2000 Status
9/22/2021 - 3000 Status
9/23/2021 - 3300 Status
9/29/2021 - 3400 Status
10/11/2021 - TPW
10/8/2021 - 3800 Status (Built)
10/11/2021 - 4000 Status (released - available to ship)

Or it can be 12 weeks like mine (Nov 16 status 3000 to build date Feb 8(est))
You, unfortunately, fell into the tornado, fire, blizzard delay program. Hopefully those events are not recurring ones!
Those events did not add anywhere near 7 weeks (I’d say less than two weeks) so I was just saying expecting 5 weeks is quite optimistic. It’s possible but not guaranteed.
Hopefully it will be five weeks or less for the OP though.

I recall there was a qc hold on a bunch of cars because of a defective wheel issue that added a few weeks to orders as well. It was pretty brutal
3000 status 11/16. Tpw 1/31. Actually produced 1/28. Status 4000 since Monday, 1/31. 13 days till I leave on a road trip south. My will I have my new Corvette or not roller coaster ride continues.

I had a tpw of 1/24/22, tornados hit and my tpw changed to 1/31/22. My actual build day was 1/28/22. So tornados cost me approximately 4 days.
