On both my C6 and C7, I had the camber and caster set close to zero, but not quite. There was no difference in handling and I do not track. Although I only kept both of those for 12-14k miles, tire wear was excellent. I am only assuming my C8 (2021) came with a lot of negative caster/camber. If anyone has a good set of alignment specs, please share with me. I currently have 3,600 miles on the car and was thinking about getting an alignment prior to driving season. I had a 4 wheel alignment done on my C7. I haven't seen anything on any of the forums, so wondering if that still applies to the C8. Luckily the shop I use had the required tool for doing the C7 4 wheel alignment. They do many Corvettes, but I would like to have them do the alignment to my specs. Thanks for any help
Thanks very much for the info. above. No, know better than to set 0 degrees caster. Can't recall exactly, but seems I set my C7 to -0.5. From the factory, I think it was -1.0-1.5, but w/o looking back to my settings, not exactly sure. Thanks again for the replies.
I had a four wheel alignment done yesterday at a shop I have used for all my Corvettes. He does not have the tool to set rear wheel caster, but it has never been a problem.
After watching the front inside tread disappear quickly on my C6 and C7, I now use what he calls a street alignment.
The front camber is set within spec but close to minimum value. For street and highway driving I can not detect any loss of drivability.
Below are the screen shots of the after and before alignment values. He did up charge me substantially from his normal $125.
He said this was more labor time getting at things than any other car.
