Yahoo! I finally got an allocation for 3/31. I've only been waiting 3 years. I started with a 2020 order and I see now its going to be a 2023. Thank God the price hasn't rocketed out of reach. I originally had ordered an EBC with red guts, calipers and strips. With the time I've had waiting I've tossed up alternative color combinations however with the new wheel option Q9A Carbon Flash w/red stripe I'm back to my original build. I'm looking for opinions. Is the Superman car too much of a cartoon or something else?

Solely depends on how much attention you want. It will be eye-catching for sure and it will stand out in a row of less ostentatious C8 combos at your local cruise night. If that is what you're seeking or your C8 you should go for it.
I think the ELB is a beautiful color and I've seen several new ones in person at the dealer. I also like the red interior but I prefer only the red seats, like what you get with the 1LT trim. I was concerned though when I saw that there is a $595. override charge to order the red interior. Seems like GM is saying they don't think it is a good color combination to order. I also thought the red seats tend to look a bit orange in person, which you couldn't see on the visualizer. Do your homework and get what you like though. Everyone has a different idea of what looks good to them. I've seen several orders on the 2022 order spreadsheet for the ELB with red interior, so you won't be the only one for sure.
I really like the look on the visualizer however I haven't seen it in person. I was planning on a 2LT w/GT1 HUR Mulan seats, DSZ edge red dual strip, Edge red caliper and Q9A red stripe wheels. I happen to have an engine cover that I'll shoot red. I hope its not too much flash. As a side note my mother in 1976 brought home a new Dk Brown, tan gut vette. I remember being so excited that we were getting a new corvette however when it pulled up the driveway I was so disappointed. I immediately asked her if they had any other colors. I kind of felt bad as she was so proud of her new car. I thought to myself that if and when I get an opportunity to purchase a new one that it was going to stand out. I've had several corvettes over the years however this will be my first new personal order Probably not the most mature setup for a 60yr guy! Oh well
I'm a GM at a small dealership in ND and we're are currently getting only one allocation per year. I've been the nice guy and put good customer orders ahead of mine. So ya, I've been patiently waiting. It also will looks a little better to the owner when I discount my order on a later production unit
Hehehe, please help me. What's your suggestions for EBM color? I have until tomorrow to make any final changes. Crunch time
First of all, get what you like. This is a special car, not for everyone. What one loves, another one hates. I like the ELB but not too sure about the red interior, just me though. All red would be way too much for me, but I could go for just the red seats. There is a color override charge for going with the red interior, just in case you didn't know that. Hope you find something that works for you!
