Default Frunk

Ok Im 18 months and 8700 miless into ownership and i was walking around the car and realized its been months since I may have opened the frunk. I find zero utility, I never use it and theres nothing in there for storage (the only thing I carry in the trunk is an umbrella, a couple microfibers and a detail spray) Anyone else?

I use mine pretty frequently. But my car's a daily driver. It gets used for everything, including runs to the store, not just for sunny weekend drives.

Groceries, because the trunk picks up heat and fumes from the engine. So unless you like gasoline smoked groceries. I also put my work stuff in the frunk since I park front in to my garage so it’s closer to get to.

Nope. Love the fronk. Have placed my groceries in it a few times already. I have the HTC and obviously have the trunk full of free space at all times, but it would be even more useful to anyone with a removable hard top.

Haven't had the car long enough to know.

But I owned an original model Toyota MR-2 for 9 years, and got used to using both trunks. So I expect I will get used to using both on the C8 too.

Especially when we have the top off, and we drove our C6 with the top off often. Maybe most of the time. But I know I sometimes had to put the roof back in to haul all the groceries we bought. (This was true for the MR-2 AND the Corvette, by the way.)

Its kind of like a tool. If you use it, you get used to using it.

I use the Frunk for groceries, as my Yeti Hopper 30 fits perfectly.

If it weren't for the charging port, which I use often, I have no reason to open it.

Tow hook, air compressor, a towel or two and a few tools. I do use mine for Tennis equipment, and any other items I may need at the time. Find it useful.

Frunk is where stuff goes that I rarely need to access. Trunk is where I put things I use on a daily basis. Reason is that, while I know no harm comes from pushing down on the frunk gently to latch it, I still don't like pressing down on the paint and I really like the autoclose trunk.

I also hate pressing on the lid and leaving fingerprints, too. It's also on the "wrong end" of the car for access ease in a parking lot---unless you back in to park. I use mine occasionally for Costco runs after filling the trunk or when I have cold items I can't fit inside the car. Otherwise I keep my quick detailer and microfiber cloths in there.

I open mine every time I wash the car to dry it off just like the rear hatch and doors.

I also needed to find a home for that heavy tow hook, battery charger, my auto detailing items and a few emergency tools. After measuring the bottom of the GM Front Cargo Liner, I ordered this bag from Amazon. Fits perfectly into the liner. As an added bonus, the bag has a hard bottom, takes up little space (its less than 9 inches in height) and does not attract any attention to itself (as its black). And it still leaves plenty of room for groceries. Very pleased with the purchase and the price of this sturdy little bag.

I keep my car vac in the frunk and use the 12v power port to run it. Cord is long and I can vacuum the inside of the car with ease. I also keep spare windshield washer fluid in there. Other than that, I use the trunk for everything else.

Yep, as regular car and grocery getter, the frunk is the preferred location for groceries, unless you want them pre-cooked before you get home. Moreover, any time my car sits for a couple of days, it goes on a CTEK battery maintainer. I don't want to be in the OTA software update dead battery club.

I had an original MR2, and the second generation MR2. My first MR2 had a sunroof, so I lost the frunk with the roof off. One of the things I loved about the second generation was that it had a T-roof that stowed behind the two seats. No loss of trunk or frunk space with the roof off! Just like my HTC now.
