DPMC8, some on this forum have had good results sending an email to mary.barra@gm.com She will not respond to your email but someone from her office will get back to you. Give it a try, you have nothing to lose. I wish you luck with your dealer. If you can, I would pick another dealer for other maintenance service or problems.

I've looked at other dealers, and it's really hard to pick. Everyone I talked to recommended these Earnhardt guys, but that was when the specialist C8 mechanic was there. I heard he left. The shop and car storage is fully outdoors. It's a mess of a situation.
Depression is kicking in. Update: I emailed the link. They responded "the part is in the shop". Dealership says it's not there. So, they are replacing the belt and radio because of recommendations by Chevy and those parts are in LOL. No issues with the radio or the belt. They assured me they won't take the dash apart. They said the radio is a unit under the glove box passenger side. I'm thinking that's the amplifier?
Anyway, I emailed GM back and said the part that was requested weeks ago is not there (AC Compressor GM part#86808040). Crickets....
Also, the dealership will not release the car back to me, so I can store it in my covered fully AC'd garage while they get this part in the nex few years? Guess what's happening to that interior/dash, and seats cooking at 115 degrees for weeks there....
I bet new potential C8 buyers are looking at these problems here on the forum. They will lose potential buyers if they don't fix their customer service.
This is so messed up...
Definitely an individual dealer problem which is the crux of GM. My AC clutch froze and shredded my belt and I had to wait a week and half for the AC compressor to come in as well. My dealer just cleaned the remnants of the old belt and I just drove it (drove my C5 more) without out AC till they got the part. that's what they should be doing for you IMO. It's your car is your choice.
Just like IMO when you get a Corvette you should go to the front of the line when you get to a Chevy garage. It doesn't say Chevrolet any where on the car and you shouldn't be waiting behind the Sonic for service in your 70-200k car now. If they are going to up their game in price they need to do it in service. Fine if the Chevy garage services it but you should basically be like a "Diamond medallion" member when you get there. I have a good rapport with mine, but every Corvette owner should get that consistently. Not the Trax treatment at a 100+k.
UPDATE: NO AC COMPRESSOR YET FROM GM.
3 weeks at least have passed. I get emails from GM now, but they are all about "Did you get the last email?" which didn't resolve anything, and my reply is "I did not receive the AC compressor part yet. It's been 3 weeks. Therefore, no progress has been made by GM yet.".
Yesterday a 1-800 number called me and it was a Chevrolet Executive Resolution Liaison.
I finally got a rental and was pulling into my work parking spot. The guy was nice on the phone, and just wanted to hear my story of how and when the AC Compressor exploded. He said he would call me Friday to update me if there is an update.
At the moment when he asked me how I was doing, I couldn't help but tell the truth and I said:
"They put me in a #%&@&$# FORD man! How should I feel?"

I started this thread and went through the same crap, until I pushed a little harder. I suggest you push this guy when he calls you back on Friday for a date when you can expect resolution to this issue and tell him if he can’t give you an answer as a GM representative, who can? Let him know you are going to look at other options, including lemon law or getting rid of the car. When I did this magically they found a compressor and car was fixed in a couple days, in addition they gave me a significant amount of Chevrolet reward points for my trouble. Good luck!

Don't mention lemon law unless you're truly ready to use it. As soon as you mention that phrase, a whole different group within GM takes over and they're no longer focused on fixing your car, but in resolving the Lemon Law process.

Yea, I just want my car back. It has effect on my daily mood for sure

Just picked it up with a new ac compressor. Thank you for the help.
Is anyone else still having a problem trying to get the AC compressor replaced I took my 2020 corvette in 5 weeks ago after the compressor failed the dealership was very forward with me about the compressor being out of stock but after reading the posts above I contacted GM's social media team and the most I can get out of them is that they are 'unable to speculate when this will be available'. To be without AC is extremely frustrating and I have certainly voiced my disappointment multiple times but that got me nowhere.

All I can tell you is you have to push hard, call and talk to Service Manager and ask him for his help and then call GM again. You have to let them know how pissed you are about buying a high end car that is useless and embarrassment because you can’t even drive it with no AC. You been more than patient but they need to get this fixed. It worked for me and one of the other members got results the same way. I didn’t like having to take this approach but I was pissed I couldn’t use the car for a few weeks with no AC and we payed a lot of money for these brand new cars.
guy who owns a 21 and had a 20 had both compressors blow up within firdt 10k miles. Odd. Maybe a design issue or casting? You'd think rpm related maybe heat? Idk. Not uncommon in any new design.
I have a 2021 C8 Corvette Convertible. At first smoke was coming out of the engine vent. Shortly is stopped but no engine lights. Soon after that I noticed there was no cold air. Luckily it was only 95 degrees here in Chicago, IL. I then took the car to the dealer. Today they tell me my compressor is bad and needs to be replaced. The part as you already know is on backorder so it will be about three weeks. Ok, then I'll come pick up the car and bring back later when the parts come in: Sorry can not do that the car has already been torn apart waiting for parts.
^^^^
Bad timing! I'm leaving for our annual Exhibition in McCormick Place on September 9. Looks like weather should be perfect, in mid 70's. Hope pats come in sooner.
What is it with GM and their a/c compressors? My 2013 unit failed in 2015 with 7500 miles on the clock and it was out of warranty. I did not use it very often left windows down alot when I should have had the AC on to keep compressor lubricated properly. NOW I run all my car's AC even a bit in the winter, including my 2021 C8.
No problems so far knock on wood.
Sorry about your issues hopefully this note shows you're not alone.
When I dropped my car off at the dealer last week for the DCT , I asked my service writer what problems they were seeing on the C8. He said they were replacing a number of seized a/c compressors and some transmissions.
