Default Problems with new C8?

I am posting this for a friend of mine who is not very computer literate.

We picked up his new C8 Z51 Corvette last week from a dealer that is about 2 hours from our house. There are two problems that he can't figure out with the car, so I am posting this to see if any of the knowledgeable people on the forum may know what is causing these problems, may be operator error or something that has to go back to the dealership to get fixed.

#1 When you pull into the garage, the screen goes blank, when you pull back outside, it comes on again.

#2 You can open the frunk with the manual button on the dash but can not open it with the fob. The dealership said you have to press the button on the fob twice for it to open but it still will not work.

Any opinions or advice would be welcome, will save us a trip back over.

Thanks

#1 sounds like it could be an issue with the light sensor on the dash. This is apparently really common as of recent. Not 100% certain on it though, the screen goes dim or it turns off entirely?

#2 two quick presses and hold until the frunk pops up. If not you may have to take it to a dealer to reprogram / check for issues

#1. See manual. When dark outside (in garage) screen dimmer goes into effect. You can adjust this brightness when the vehicle enters darker areas or nightfall. See manual.
#2. See manual. Frunk with two pushes. Quick first push follow by a push and hold till frunk latch releases. See manual.

Easy peasy!

#1 is the dash brightness dimmer ****. It's probably set very very low

#2 press the fob button once, press it again and hold it in

See posts #3 and #4. The display is best set on full bright by using the brightness switch next to the driver's left knee. It will still dim in dark conditions, but still be visible.

FOB operation was described very clearly by the previous posters.

Thanks for all the info, will give us a starting place to start looking, I figure the problem is a common problem with all these new cars, just old people not used to all the new gimmicks on new vehicles and will figure them out and get over it. Thanks for the info
