Not legal to tint windshields in North Carolina, unfortunately. .I’m envious of you guys.
Really? I drive up there all the time but never have had any issues. I would think just doing like 70% it would not be so noticeable and you can just show the cop that the windshield is OEM shows on bottom right it is 70% lol.
On my previous C6 and now on my C7 I have the front windshield tint. I love it! My eyes are sensitive to light, so it helps. Looks great and keeps out the Texas heat a little. I have 75% which I was told by my installer that that was the darkest legally he could put on. The car also passed inspection last week with the windshield tint. So, all is good there. Now, it could be up to a particular cop that may not like it for some reason though. I also have "blackouts" on my rear and side lights too (which look awesome btw) and they too passed inspection since they still allow sufficient light to come through since they are only a 5% reduction.
Another forum I was on regarding a different vehicle was actually stating that in Texas we can't have ANY tint on the front windshield though. So, I'm not sure how to interpret all this.

Again? Do an "Advanced search" across the C8 Forums (and C7 if you want even more) to find a LOT of threads. If not mentioned, and it probably was, such is illegal in many states. A friend found out the hard way when he moved with his tinted Vette windshield. All the best, in any event.
