Rear Camera Mirror
I took it to the dealer 2 weeks ago. I had taken it in 06/03/22 for the infamous "headlights always on" issue and the ambient light sensor finally came in. In the meantime, I had bought one off of eBay that had resolved my "headlights always on" problem. Regardless, I let the dealer replace my part with their part. Seems to be still fixed.
Then I shared this video with them.
Their response was "NPF NO ABNORMAL CONDITION FOUND AT THIS TIME".
They gave me a page from Corvette Service Manual 15356649, Document ID: 541744O and referenced the following section:
The 2022 Corvette Owner's manual page 26 states:
Does this mean that the automatic dimming function is NOT active when the display is ON? If so, then the automatic dimming function is not a consideration in my situation.
Just to further confuse this, the Service Manual mentions "low exterior light condition detected." Could the replacement ambient light sensor have fixed a problem in that area? They did not apply a software update.
In the 150 miles since this dealer visit, I have not observed the rear camera mirror going black again. Really too early to tell.

In my case they changed mirrors, no help. Now dealer has camera on order. Will hope.
Mine is intermittent but sometimes fine for 30 minutes and sometimes failed for that length of time. Often fails for 5 or 10 minutes. I have to switch to real mirror. My C8 is 2 years old.
Mine was fine for two years. Than, like some others, it periodically turns blue with a camera failure warning ICON.
Dealer replaced my mirror thinking that was the cause - - it wasn’t. They have a camera on order. Will hope that solves it.
